Hello,
Can somebody tell me whether or not the valves on my 2007 GL 1800 need to be adjusted once in a while. My friend told me they were Self adjusting. Is that true?
If that's the case, what is involved in a tune up?
Thanks in advance,
John

How to replace the air filter
Hey All,
I'm handy but I'm not a mechanic. How easy is it to get to and replace the air filter. If you know of a good video or step by step explanation, could you send me the link?
Thanks, in advance,
John

What type of fork oil do I use?
Hey all,
A big thank you to all those that replied to my question about fork springs under pressure. Now I have a new question:
What type of oil do I need for my 2007 GL 1800?
Thanks again,
John

Are fork springs under pressure?
I'm going to change my fork oil and I wanted to know if the springs are under pressure. When I open things up do I need some extra caution?
Thanks,
John
Thanks,
John

The same thing happened to me. Just by dumb luck, I tried turning up the CB squelch and everything audio worked!

Front Forks
Hello, First of all a big thank you to other members who have given good advice through this forum. I change my oil regularly but after that I need to follow step by step instructions when working on my 07 Goldwing GL 1800. A friend asked me about the oil in my forks. I looked it up and sure enough ...

Re: Built in GPS- 2007 GL 1800
Thanks Viking,
It's still a little cold here in BC so I haven't got my wing on the road just yet- I'm just getting everything ready and in place for the 20th when I get the insurance and get out riding. I will put the battery back in and give your suggestion a try asap.
Thank you,
John

Built in GPS- 2007 GL 1800
Hello, I have a 2007 GL 1800 that I bought almost 3 years ago. The built in Navigation system (By garmin) has never worked properly and I would love to get it working again. It shows my location on the built in screen but when I try to put in a destination, the field that I put it in has a Honda Dea...

Re: Arai helmet question
Hey thanks so much for the information about your Uclear system. I am considering that one as well as the Sena 20 (series). Do you have a rider hooked up with your system? I wondered how the intercom part of the Uclear was- especially without a mic.

Re: Arai helmet question
Thanks for input. I bought the helmet- now I'll be on the lookout for a Blue tooth intercom system. Sena looks good.

Arai helmet question
I tried on and liked the fit of an Arai Signet Q helmet. I also want to get a blue tooth intercom/ headset a little later on.
Has anyone heard if there is a problem fitting the Arai helmets with a headset?
They are expensive and I want to get it right.
Thanks everybody,
John

Advice for a new windshield
I ride a GL 1800, am 5'11" with a 32" inseam. At this point I think the best windshield for me might be the Optic Armour and I'm trying to decide between the +2 or the +4. Apparently the F4 and Optic Armour are the same shields. The +2 would probably be enough to help me with wind buffetin...

Help with cruise control and audio cutting out
Hello, this is a call for help to all those who have had a similar problem or have some technical skills with 1800 Goldwings: My wife and I just took our 2007 GL1800 Goldwing out for our first time over night expedition since buying it a few weeks ago. I knew the FM radio audio cut in and out but I ...

New to Goldwing-Need advice
Hi All, I just bought a new to me 2007 Goldwing 1800. I'm finding I get a lot of heat from the side. Has anyone had good results from using lower wind deflectors to keep heated air away from the rider- it's hot enough where I live with out adding to it.
Thanks in advance, John

wind deflectors
Hello, Just bought a new to me 07 Goldwing. I've ordered the ergo 2 highway pegs and also want to use lower wind deflectors to redirect heat from the side grills (side fairings). The reviews for the various deflectors from people who have purchased from online stores have mentioned that these add on...
