Re: GL1800 ABS ECU ignition module

The earlier model ECM should work, but there may be some difference in emissions with the older unit. Your best bet is to get a new one and not risk a used one. www.partzilla,com

Re: rear tire on gl1500 goldwing 1995

Can someone tell me the average mileage I should be getting on my rear tire? I ran a Bridgestone g702-160-80-16 and got 7500 miles on it. Don't know if that is good or bad? IS THERE ANY TIRE THAT WILL GIVE ME BETTER MILEAGE ON MY 1995 1500 wing? I have never checked my milage before, I just replace...

Re: Removing Multi Display connector

Been a while since I had it off. The mention of the screwdriver trick brought back a memory and I was able to get it off. Thanks for the responses. Then using a pick, I was able to pry out the broken piece of the old tab. Problem solved!

Mirror Trim

IMG_3248.JPG IMG_3249.JPG IMG_3250.JPG I need a mirror trim piece for my 2003 GL1800. It is the long piece with two tabs that fits between the mirror rubber and the gauge cluster cover on the right side as you set on the bike. Mother Honda has done her best to hide the part number in some totally u...

I have pulled both a timeout camping trailer and a luggage trailer with two Goldwings without any problems. Just have to pack it carefully and watch where you go with it. Backing up is no fun.

Re: xm radio

I have mine mounted over the front brake master cylinder using a RAM mount. It works very well. I routed the anntenna lead to the rear of the bike and mounted it on one of the rear speaker covers. Over time the lead wire broke due to opening and closing of the trunk. I would recommend placing the an...

Re: Installing the DMC MP3 player model 9088

More information as well as some pictures would not be unwelcome. Where you ordered and how much your costs were could be topics of welcome information. Being familiar with the J&M product, which I have on my GL1800, I would not be putting it under the CD player in the lower trunk. I had mine there...

Did you replace the battery or just try and charge it? If the voltage drops below 11 Volts during the starting operation you will not have any spark. New battery for sure.

Thanks for the reply. I am looking at the 14" wheel models. I like the idea of being able to remove the trike kit easily and still be able to ride normally. Perhaps in a year or two.

I have weak legs from a stroke and ride a GL 1800. I have not been able to ride much in the year and a half since the stroke. I was planning to have Leg Up Landing Gear installed next month, but became concerned when my buddy did not see them at Wing Ding this year. Does anyone have recent experien...

I have a Tire Gard TPMS on my ST1300, It works without any problems. Did have to replace batteries once. I had this unit on two gold wings before I bought my Garmin Zumo 390.
