Re: Key West
I used to live on an island down in Key Largo out on US1 at mile marker 112.5 and took a bike ride down to Key West, 110 miles south of K/L on a Christmas day about 10 years ago. The weather was absolutely perfect for the ride, 85*, bright sunshine, stopped at a couple of flea markets along the way....

Re: Insta Motorcycle Tow by BillyBob1
Hell, I can build one cheaper than that. I have a friend that has some commercial steel "I" beams and some trailer axles, he'll probably let me build one with the materials he has.

Re: Insta Motorcycle Tow by BillyBob1
Just as another option here. As I understand it we are talking about a light weight option to tow a bike (our wings) that does not take up too much space , correct ? Or I should say that is what kicked off this topic. . . . I have never used this, but has anyone looked at a Trailer In A Bag ? http:...

Re: Parts needed, maybe wrong place for this?
I have been working on my 1985 Goldwing LTD almost all day with a few things to "get er done" and along the way I came up with a missing part in my fairing. A metal plate that goes inside the fairing where the left mirror mounts. The right one was there and all was fine but the left one w...

Tested my 83 1100.....127mph, also tested my 86 1200 SEi..........135mph. Both tests were done out on the interstate with no other vehicles in sight for at least 5 miles, that was fast enough.

Re: motorcycle windshield wiper
No, not in my line of sight. In Japan, Goldwings all come with this set up from Honda direct. Sadly we're not offered that option here in north America. Motor55 sells this very kit. Been using it for three years. I love it. Looks to be @ $1500 total cost to add a wiper with the windshield???!!! Yik...

Re: motorcycle windshield wiper
I loved my electric windshield wiper especially when i rode down to florida in the rainy season. What a pleasure it was to be able to see where I was going and kept riding while other bikers were pulled over under bridges due to heavy rain. Best 200 bucks for safety equipment i've ever spent on my b...

Honda didn't make the GL1200 in 1981, so your bike must be the GL1100. Here is a whole page of passenger foot pegs for your bike as well as some other applications................https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=m570.l1313&_nkw=1981+HONDA+GL1100+rear+passenger+foot+pegs&...

Then pick out the best one, one that you both liked and strap it to the backseat of your bike. Put a pair of goggles and a scarf on it and go down the road, and every once in a while reach around and touch it to make sure "she's" still there with ya. I don't think she would want you to sto...

Very sorry for your loss. You have my sympathies and condolences. Just because your darling isn't there with you physically, doesn't mean she's not with you mentally or in your heart. I don't think she'd want you to give up your riding just because she's not there with you. Get yourself a large stuf...

Hi Scott. I think thats a wonderful thing that your wife is doing. I'm sure she brings a lot of joy to her audiences. To bad there aren't more people like her that makes their rounds to nursing homes, VA hospitals and alike. She's got my subscription.

Re: 1983 Aspencade help - VIN vs year
Does it look anything like the bike in this photo? THIS is an 83 GL1100 Aspencade. the correct color is "Nimbus Grey" with blue inserts. You are correct with all the digital display, wheels and anti-dive front forks, vented rotors and the other things you mentioned.

Re: wrong way wheel tire
MC tires are also marked "rear" and "front" along with their directional arrows. Its not advisable to put a rear MC tire on the front or vise-versa.
