Re: Long trip, what parts would you bring?

Hi Uptwobucks, Sounds like a great trip, so have fun and be safe. Everyone has already mentioned what you should take, I would only add two more items. One for sure and the other only if you want to! Rescue Tape is a fantastic product I used for years as a boater, but now carry a spare roll or two o...

Re: Pinlock Sun-Reactive Sunshield Review

Hi Folks, Wow what a great new product, definitely something to look into. There is a large segment of older motorcyclists who have vision issues and need prescription glasses, so with this product they could still wear normal prescription glasses and see through these Pinlock Sun-Reactive Sunshield...

Re: All you need to know about the new 2018 Goldwing

Hi Ray, in my experience of trailering a Gold Wing both Honda and the GWRRA Gold Book do not recommend tying down a Gold Wing using the crash bars, and I would think the 2018 Gold Wing would be no different. In 2016 my wife and I traveled to Newfoundland by ferry twice, once for 6 hours the other fo...

Re: All you need to know about the new 2018 Goldwing

Hi Coop, I believe that the GPS installed on the new 2018 Gold Wing is not a Garmin unit. I read somewhere about this on another wing site. I'm also hearing that Garmin Basecamp does not work for routes to be loaded on the new wing. You might want to do some research to see if I'm right. There is a ...

Re: New 2018 Goldwing Survey

The old adage applies here, "You can please all the people some of the time and some of the people all of the time, but you can't please all of the Gold Wingers all of the time". IMHO Honda has finally given the Gold Wing the much needed upgrades it has lacked for years. Is it everything I wanted, n...

Re: 2018 GOLDWING SPECIFICATIONS

At first glance I really like the look, a ST1300 on steriods with a trunk or without. I like most of the improvements and it should be a blast in the twisties. I'm sure it will take some getting used to with less storage, more importantly with two up. Speaking of two up, I'm sorry to say our co-rid...

Re: All you need to know about the new 2018 Goldwing

My local dealer is saying that he thinks it's BT only. Which leads to one of my questions: Did someone figure out how to make BT work with CB transmissions? I haven't followed it very closely, but all of the BT implementations I've seen still required a wired mic for CB use - probably because all t...

Re: BulletHD Biker Pro Camera Review

As a jester of goodwill OCD Tronic is willing to take over existing warranty support and or give steep discounts to previous Pier28/BulletHD customers.

I believe these are your words. So what steep discount can the people who spent a lot of money on the BulletPro and Pro Plus expect.

Do you really need that AND a belly pan ? I have a belly pan on for protection of the oil filter and the coolant bottle - But this seems like a quite a bit of protection . GL1800 Oil Filter Protection

A fellow winger told me about a product he found while looking at a site for Adventure Motorcycles. It seems they sell a product for the GL1800 in a aluminum oil filter cover. I bought one and now have it installed on my 2013 Gold Wing. Along with my belly pan I only hope I have my bases covered, so...

Re: BulletHD Biker Pro Camera Review

That's good news Jon, however with riders who bought the BulletHD Pro and then replaced it with the BulletHD Pro Plus, like myself, being told there is a new bike camera coming down the pipe is not exactly encouraging. My BulletHD Pro Plus has completely stop working, like the Bullet HD Pro did and I...

Re: BulletHD Biker Pro Camera Review

I have a question for Pier28, I'm going on a bucket list trip of a lifetime this summer, which will involve shipping two Gold Wings and two cargo trailers via Air Canada from Vancouver B.C. to Montreal, QC. We will then ride to The Maritimes and Newfoundland and then ride back to B.C. all in a litt...

Re: 2016 Planned Rides and Trips

Hi Bobsiler, I saw your post about your 2016 Planned Rides and Trips and I would be remiss if I did not recommend a road I've ridden a couple of times in both directions from Lewiston, ID to Enterprise OR. Since you mentioned you will be riding WA into Idaho and then down to Oregon, you must ride Ra...

Re: BulletHD Biker Pro Camera Review

Hi captdecker, The installation was very easy and I decided early on to place the Duel USB Power Converter under the left pocket of the fairing and the Main Controller in the left pocket, as the third and four photos show. I ran a red and black 18 gauge wires from my accessory terminals located just...

It's not a big issue just asking about what setting would be good. I will read through the user manual and play with it.
Maybe just give me a quick post when you are back in town. No rush.
Take care.

Re: 2016 Planned Rides and Trips

For my wife and I and another couple, we have a bucket list trip planned this year. We all have a month holiday planned in August and September to see Newfoundland and The Maritimes. As we all live in British Columbia on the far left coast of Canada, this trip has been in the planning for sometime. ...

Re: who rides at night?

Here's a tip I learnt while serving in the Canadian Armed Forces. As an infantryman with 3PPCLI one part of life is night patrol and keeping your night vision. Try this at home first then while riding, I do it all the time. Sit in a dark room till you get your night vision. Now close one eye and the...
