Re: 2002 1800 Goldwing 1500.00

CALIFORNIA won't transfer title to me without back fees paid. Secondarily the former owner's brother is a lein holder (long since paid off) but now lives in Mexico so is nearly impossible to have him sign off on the lein, so if and when the title changes hands there is that issue. I could purchase l...

Re: Rear Master Cylinder

If a Mityvac can't pull fluid something is wrong!

My Mityvac was able to pull 15 lbs of pressure before opening the front caliper bleed valve. it took about 1 full reservoir to pull new fluid from the rebuilt rear mc to the front and bleed all the air.

Re: 2002 1800 Goldwing 1500.00

It starts and idles well. Haven't driven it enough to know but no reports from the previous owner re transmission troubles. Yes, after replacing the blown seal with new bushings, seals and progressive springs, the 3 brakes need pads (which I have), and the the tupperware needs to be put back on. I t...

Re: Rear Master Cylinder

Well first of all I got mine off, rebuilt, reinstalled ( a friend had to help because my right hand/arm doesn't work at 100% since 3 strokes in 4 days, but all he did was reattach the brake lines), and bled. Boy Honda really did a bad job engineering the brake lines attachment. A bump in the gas tan...

I think a epoxy job would hold fine, as long vas cyou got the surfaces clean. And they probably are clean with a recent break.

1200 Rear master cylinder removal

According to the manual i have to take off the swing arm.

Has anybody removed and replaced the Rear MC without doing this?
Also they say (cavalierly) remove the hard lines, as if they were just put in loosely!

Mine is an 1985 GL1200 Aspencade

Re: Speedometer sensor

A guy posted that a 99-2001 honda valkyrie1500 Speed Sensor is the same part that worked on his 85 Aspencade. He did say that he had to cut and switch the ends which they were different, it even had same color for the 3 wires. There is also a post explaining how to repair yours using a fairly cheap ...

Re: I'm installing a gl1100 ignition on 76 gl1000

Coil Neon.jpg Simple You need new wires for Spark plugs, i believe that 7mm is the correct size, And since the stock spark plug boots are resistive, you need metallic or non resistive wire, generally labeled copper core or metallic. The old boots from the spark plug ends work fine, assuming they me...

Re: I'm installing a gl1100 ignition on 76 gl1000

I was able to purchase a new one somewhere... found it using google. Rockauto.com has one for about 7.00 Part number WVE 1P1080 WVE 1P1080.png As far as electrically the Neon coil is a 4 cylinder coil used on a car. It has two spark wires on each coil, and uses a wasted spark just like Goldwings. It...

Re: I'm installing a gl1100 ignition on 76 gl1000

Coils are coils... so to speak. The coils you have will work even if they aren't the same as 1100 coils. The difference is not that great and is usually the resistance used. The 1000 coils have a resistor on them with the two coils. On my 1200 I replaced the coils with a Dodge Neon coil, you could d...
