Re: How many bikes have you owned?

I started out with a 60's model Cushman when I was a kid. At forteen my older brother gave me his Honda XL 100. I drove it until I was 16 and run a paper route on it for two years. 13 years ago I was given a '71 Norton Commando basket case but it was all there. I spent the next nine years and $14,00...

Re: Deeper Sound From Exhaust

The previous owner of my Aspencade took the baffles out. I have them in the box. I thought it sounded cool without them so I don't intend to put them back in.

Speakers don't work

Maybe someone can answer a question for me. I have a 98 Aspencade with the AM/FM cassette and a cd player. It has 4 speakers, 2 in front in dash and 2 in back beside seat back rest. The rear speakers won't work. I don't have a fader knob on the switch cluster or the console like I have seen on other...

Re: What type of fork oil to use

Thank you Dusty Boots! Just one more question. Since I have Progressive Springs, what amount of fork oil goes into forks? I installed an oil lock piece in the other fork before I found out only the left fork had it in there. I'm not going through the trouble to take it back out.

Re: What type of fork oil to use

I have the forks apart right now on my 98 Winger. My springs are much longer than the 15" specifications in the books and there was not a spacer with them. I assume these are progressive springs that were put in by a previous owner. Does anyone know what the minimum length should measure out to be?

Re: 1500 Front End disassembly - video

I disassembled my forks for my 98 Wing. During disassembly, I had the cone shaped oil lock piece in the left fork, but the right fork didn't have one. Have you found out if only one fork is supposed to have it. Also When I took the caps off, there were not spacers in the fork like my Haynes manual s...

Re: How to rebuild your front forks

In your DIY about rebuilding the front forks, you didn't look in to the anti-dive units. Wouldn't this require overhaul while your there. I am in the process of rebuilding the forks on my Wing Ding.
