Harrison is what I meant. Just rec'd som literature from that area. Eureka Sogs to Hot Spgs Byway 7 (?) is said to be nice. Thinking of staying at The Hub in Marble Falls, Ar. Riding solo this trip so looking for economy. Hub is $60 per night.

Flashing the lights with starter button also fires the starter motor. Not a good idea. Simply low to hi beam a time or two with a horn beep.

Hope so. I bought the quick disconnect as well. Still less $$ than Kuryakyn.

I took all the advice and went with Utopia. Just back from a 1500 mile ride on Natchez Trace and surrounding areas. Would have liked to use the Utopia but it's just shipping today. Looking forward to it.

Re: Passenger Buffeting
I have windscreen lowest when riding solo. 2 up I raise the screen to the horizontal slots. This position works well to reduce buffeting. I added baker wings recently. They help as well. I'm not into $300 for a new windshield without trying one first.

Re: Things to see from Seattle to San Francisco?
Try a short side trip down Columbia River Valley Gorge near Portland Or. Numerous waterfalls (not on the interstate but the road alongside). Road ends at Multnomah Falls. Nice lunch stop. Very high falls. Worth the trip. All in all prob 3 hrs or so. You can interstate back to Portland. Have fun. Try...

I was in between the Super Brace and the Monty. Read good things about both braces here. Wondering why Honda doesn't upgrade the fork support?

Re: Tire air PSI thoughts?
I just replaced the front with Dunlop D250. Read good things about that tire on this forum. Further I like the tread pattern better than the elite 3. Just back from 1100 mile ride last week on that tire at 40 PSI. Just trying to get the most wear. GL1800 2 up

Tire air PSI thoughts?
OEM says 36 PSI in front. My mechanic unofficially suggests 40 PSI. Met a guy in Cherokee,NC last week (on a trike) who runs 44 PSI... What's good? I'm currently running 40 and like the ride.

Great trip. While based out of Cherokee rode almost 900 miles in 4 days. Not a recod, but really awesome. Did a couple hundred on the blue ridge.

Re: Off to the Dragon & points beyond.
Bridal veil is a great stop. I much prefer Highland & Cashiers over Deals Gap & the Dragon. Not sure how to add pics but I've got some good ones. We also like Dry Falls.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Re: AIRHAWK® Motorcycle Seat Cushions
The Air Hawk front strap fits nicely on the GL1800. This will secure the seat. Get the large one.
