Re: Skyline Drive Trip and BR Parkway

C-dub, Skyline Drive is only 105 miles long but the max speed limit is 35mph. The BRP, however, is 469 miles. The max speed limit is 45mph and in congested areas (there are a lot of them) the speed limit is 25mph. If you take less than a week, you'll be shorting yourself. Better to maybe only plan o...

Made the trip down the Skyline Dr and the Blue Ridge Parkway,... WOW, 12 years ago already.
Taking a full week is doable, any less and you might as well take the X-way.

Well, looks like I've missed a lot here! Been working my tail end off since the last one. Looking forward to the trip (just not sure I'm quite ready for the "Dragon"). Keep us posted. Not a Biggie if you don't Ride The Dragon. ALL the roads in that part of Tenn/NC make a Great Ride. The weekend is ...

Re: It is never to early to plan: 2019 GoldwingDocs Gathering

Al, Maggie Valley is certainly a great area to Ride in but personally I found the hotels to be a little on the high side. I don't know anything about Little Switzerland. In past years, I have stayed with groups in Robbinsville and Franklin, NC and was happy with the prices and certainly the area to...

Hey James, Does this ol' Ford Graveyard look familiar to ya? It's SW of Tallahassee on a N-S Hwy.
I forget exactly where. We were at the Sheriff's Boys Ranch near Live Oak on a mission project. While there I took some time for Riding.

Re: BulletHD Biker Pro Camera

I used an Android phone. Never could get anything to download. I forget the company I bought it from... offered to buy it back from me also sent me a new upgraded cord between the camera and controller but I had already promised to sell it to someone that wanted it. He couldn't get it to work either...
