Re: What's Happening Today?

It is very early for such snow, is this normal? Rarely snows before Christmas here and we're at 53.6N we usually get a dusting if it does snow this time of year but it has been snowing all morning, its a wet heavy snowfall but only two to three inches on the ground. heading out shortly to clean it up

Re: What's Happening Today?

seeing that the weather guesser is saying that we might get up to 2" of the white stuff I thought it would be a good idea to take advantage of the 46F temp and get the white stuff removers started. after getting mine started I went and got my neighbors started before having some fun on the Mighty CT...

Re: What's the funniest thing that ever happened to you with your Goldwing?

a couple years ago my niece lisa and I were in grand rapids, mi. visiting friends, lisa rode my wing and I rode the Mighty ST 1300. on the way home we had a little detour before getting on I-96. I was following lisa and as soon as she got on I-96 she pulled over on the shoulder of the expressway and...

Re: What's Happening Today?

I got the Mighty CT 70 loaded in the tintop this morning then headed to mom's. my plan was to ride over to a few of the parks along the Detroit river on her side of town. after visiting mom I unloaded the bike so I could get a pic with her Halloween decorations and as I parked the bike I realized th...

Re: Throttle Rocker

I have the ISO grips on my wing but put grip puppies on the Mighty ST 1300 with a small cramp buster. I was kind of worried about the heated grips on the GSA seeing that it has grip puppies on it and a large cramp buster, the heated grips worked just fine

Re: What's Happening Today?

I slept soo rough Thursday night / Friday morning, my foot was soo sore I ended up back at medical. they really didn't do much other than give me a compression sock. later Friday the compression sock made my foot swell, I was truly run down and after leaving JW's I went home and fell asleep. Re: Stator Failure

after having a 1200 wing with a poorboy kit installed I would never go back to having one with a stator. if it is properly installed it looks stock but has way more power than the stator plus its easier to change if or when it goes out. I gave my niece my 1200 wing but a friend of ours has a 1200 wi...

It will probably take a little while for the strength to come back - hopefully it will not be too long. Which foot did you break? it wasn't a matter of strength it was the vibration coming from each bike. broke my right foot today was my first day back at work, it didn't take much walking to get my...

I broke my foot back in july and had not even started any of my bikes. at todays doctors visit he said I could ditch the boot so once back home I did. went out a few hours later and fired up the Mighty ST 1300 and the GSA, I rode each one up and down the block to see how it would feel. well I can sa...

Re: need gps suggestions

both of my 660's were refurb units that I've never had a problem with. at last years Goldwing doc's gathering the 660 on the Mighty ST1300 didn't lock in the mount ( my fault ), it decided to dismount while making a left turn on to the main road. I heard it hit the ground and slide across a couple t...

Re: need gps suggestions

if you don't mind an older GPS look on ebay for a zumo 550 ( i'm looking for one of these ) or 450. if you need to update the maps you can pay garmin for the update and I've seen a few 550's for right around $200 with the M/C harness. if you find a 660lm or 665lm even better just make sure you get a...
