Saddle bag light grills wanted...
Hey everyone. I'm on the hunt for the three bar grills for the saddle bag lights. When I traded my 89 for the 92 I wanted to keep the new 6 light that I bought and swapped the four light with the grills to my old bike. I ran out of time to swap the grills and had to leave for the long ride home. Now...

Re: Luggage capacity comparison 1983 vs 2018
Thanks WingAdmin. That's why I'm still on my 1500. The wife and I need as much capacity as we can get. She takes one bag and half the trunk lol. The other has a soft cooler and a little extra space for me. I took a 19 for a weekend ride solo and although it does alot of things right touring two up i...

Then my question from there, is the head unit one of those Chinese amazon units that check out in a year?Solo So Long wrote: ↑Sun Nov 08, 2020 2:21 pm The most important question is IS IT WATERPROOF?
The second most important question is what it does when sitting in hot sun all day.

I broke one off in my 92. The front inside one on the left side. There was enough exposed to clamp my small vice grips on. Came out easy enough though.

I use a table too. Gotta do brakes and a fader this weekend so I'll be cussing mother Honda over all of the tupper ware for simple projects. Jeez it would have been easier to install zippers.

Re: confused on reverse issue
My old 89 did the exact same thing when I got it. I looked like an idiot jacking the reverse lever back and forth until I got where I wanted. I dealt with the issue for a couple of weeks before I jumped into it. To this day I'm not real sure what fixed it but I cleaned the switch with contact cleane...

Re: Hair conditioner ,one for the wives
My wife's hair is to her waist and she uses an extra long leather ponytail holder we got at a rally a few years back. She still has to braid it but the holder keeps everything in place and reduces knots and tangles if we ride without helmets. I think hair glove sells them up to 8 inches the one we f...

Re: Auto Drive Bluetooth cassette adapter from Walmart
That sucks. I'm the same way about crap like that. Had to take the chance and if it didn't work send it back with the wife today. I got lucky I guess. I was looking at one over at Best Buy for $27 and change but didn't stop when I passed the store so I ended up with this one.

Auto Drive Bluetooth cassette adapter from Walmart
I was kicking around Walmart yesterday and came across this Bluetooth adapter for $11.00. Thought why not it'll work or it wont. My factory radio is iffy at best. Falls in and out of mute on AM/FM with poor reception. Cassette works great and louder than the radio even in mute. I put the adapter on ...

Not real sure without doing a side by side, but off of the top of my head I'd say no two different animals.

Re: Gas smell
Look at the gas cap and you can soak it in seafoam to clean it up. If it still smells then look at that contraption to the right and forward of the gas cap. People call it a petcock. It's a fuel shutoff that will leak. My 89 leaked and I didn't see any evidence right away but could smell the fuel. T...

Re: Memphis Shade Windshield
I've had a couple. The first one I got with their vent was awesome and the vent had alot of adjustability. Perfect fit and worked like the factory one with the adjusters. I bone headed that one when the garage door came down on it while backing out and had to get another. The second one was slightly...

Re: Commander III tires
It is a little foggy on commander tires I was lookin at those too. They used to be rated for goldwings then not even though I'm not sure they changed anything. Some people do run them and like them. I prefered Avon Venoms but then they quit makin those too. Now I'm running Avon Cobras and they feel...

Re: Commander III tires
Only thing comes to mind as far as cupping would be tire pressure. I had the issue with two different brands until a guy I know who worked for Muzzy Kawasaki told me to air'em up. Haven't had a cupping problem since. From what I can tell though the commander series of tire was designed for H-D and I...

Been curious myself. I haven't checked on the sizes offered or the load rating on them for that matter. I used to run Pilot GT's some people didn't like them but they were great for me unfortunately Michelin discontinued them. Been running dunflops since, E-3's and now E-4's. I have had good luck wi...

Caught a roadrunner at about 80 on my barhopper sporty I finished building some years back. I saw'em chasing something on the side of the road and thought surely not and then the crazy bird saw me and tried to fly. Caught me in the left shoulder and almost took me off of that little seat. Took an ow...

You know how long it's been sitting? Might get away with minimal parts if they're not lacquered up bad when you get them apart.

Re: Fader for an Aspencade
Connecting the front speakers to the back is not really a great idea. If you connect them in series, the impedance will be doubled, so the power output from each will be about half - it will be very quiet. Connecting them in parallel, the impedance will be halved, and the amplifier will be pushed i...

Re: Fader for an Aspencade
Faders don't suck power that I ever experienced, they just redirect the portion you choose to the location you choose. If you wire in two more with what you have, no fader, no control. You will note a drop up front, but then there will be sound in the other pair behind you. Welp when I installed th...

Fader for an Aspencade
Is there a better fader out there than the one from Add-On? I just trashed the second one. The board broke off where the 2 black wires went. I was going to tie the rear speakers into the front and let it go but got hot out there and I stopped for the day. Faders suck so much power from the output an...

Re: Goldwing tires
I ran that American Elite on the front of my 89. I messed up my order and got the E-3 for the back and the A.E. for the front. Didn't notice any difference in handling over an E-3 and looked close enough to the same as the back which you couldn't really see anyway. The 92 I traded for has a new Shin...

Thanks for the link Kw I ordered a couple of sets lol. My cords work fine Blue but the coil in the cords weathered and fell apart and I'm left with a flopping mess. I guess I could get some straight cord and make what I need with the connectors I have. Fortunately I was taught to solder correctly an...
