Re: What carbs will fit on my single carb manifold?

I have a PICT 34. Brand new. I was going to convert, but couldn't get it to work. Found out AFTER I rebuilt my OEM's that the fuel pump was TOAST. I have a manifold and a PICT 34 I don't need anymore. PM me and maybe we can set something up. Otherwise......it's just going to sit on a shelf in the ga...

Re: Mechanical fuel pump on gl 1100 leaks!

Fuel pump is CHEAP. Mine did the same thing. Bought a new one and now NO MORE WORRIES. Just replace it. They are still available, so it's worth it.

Re: rear brake on 1982 GL 1100

Go to the DIY section on GL1100 on this forum. It will walk you through a rebuild procedure. Maybe you don't have to do the whole job, but......why not..? Once you're done, you won't have to worry about it again for some time. And it's inexpensive too. I completely rebuilt my '83 Aspencade using ONL...

Re: Favorite Chrome Polish??

I used Weiman Glass Stove Top Cleaner on my '83 Aspy chrome. I wouldn't use it on plastic-chrome, but it virtually restored my "old chrome". Took almost all of the little rust pits out and shined it all up nicely.

Re: Need diagnostic advice

I can offer this advice.....if you need the carbs rebuilt, and you don't want to do it yourself.......send the carbs to Pistol Pete in Tennessee. YES.....it will cost in the neighborhood of $500+shipping, but when you get those carbs back, you will put them on, hook them up, and the bike will start....

Re: What is the best Table lift for Goldwing/Gl1100 prefer pneumatic

I went "budget buy" and got the HF lift. I absolutely love it. I have considered converting over to air hydraulic. I did that with their 20-ton shop press. That was the best mod I could have ever done. As you mentioned, there are lots of videos of air-hydraulic conversions on YT, and they don't seem...

Just "woke up" Ginger ('83 Aspy) last week. Her tank was almost as full as when I put her away in November. Only about a 1/4" down the neck from the top I filled it up to.

Re: Thank You WingAdmin - Winterization SUCCESSFUL

Oh yes......absolutely go through the "whole checklist". Tires, lights, signals, fluid levels.......the whole list. Doesn't take long and "just in case" you find something to address......better to take care of it THEN instead of 10 mi. down the road.

Go to the "How To Articles" section of this site. There is a few articles there on belt replacement. They are great. I just did mine last summer, and I can tell you THIS.....although it states that you have to keep the timing pulleys from moving.......you WILL have to turn one of them anywhere from ...

Re: progressive springs and air

I've read in several threads that air is not a requirement when running progressive springs in the forks. I've just rebuilt my shocks with the progressive springs and seals. with the new progressive springs in the shocks is air recommended. I did notice that the new springs were about 1/2" shorter ...

Dear WingAdmin (Sir Scott..hahaha), Thank you for your article on winterizing your Wing. I have an '83 Aspencade and followed your guidelines to the letter. Re: Is the Goldwing the best bike you have ever ridden?

I have had many bikes and overall my '84 stripper with a Hondaline fairing is the best. Not as smooth as my 89 1500, but much easier to manuever and almost as comfortable. It just "fits" me. BEAUTIFUL bike. As you can see by my profile, I've a had a few bikes. And YES......the Goldwing is the best ...

Re: Ethanol! Yes or No?

I have a '78 GL1000 with very high mileage. I take very good care of this motorcycle, and when I put it into hibernation at the beginning of this totally useless winter, it had been running nearly as well as it ever had. I have always used regular (87 octane) fuel, and never paid any attention to w...

When all is said and done, you might just end up spending a lot more trying to do it yourself. I have an '83 Aspencade, and my carbs were TRASHED when I bought it. I finally.....FINALLY....bit the bullet and sent the carbs to Pistol Pete. BEST DECISION I ever made. I put them back on......hooked eve...

Ever got rid of a bike you wish you hadn't...........YEAH......ALL OF 'EM..!! hahah My first "street bike" was an '81 Suzuki GS750L. No bike I have ever heard since has had that "cool" of a sound. Re: Ethanol! Yes or No?

I run fuel with corn simply because it is less expensive and I don't see any difference between the with or without varieties. Can't feel any loss of power nor do I get any noticeable difference in fuel mileage. I do use Stabil in winter however. I have an '83 Aspencade, and I don't notice any POWE...
