Yeah there are times you gotta wonder what it's pea pickin 'brain' is thinking. Just proves that electronic devices can err too. I have been told to turn or not turn at some critical points; rivers, lakes, etc.

Tom I might suggest you check the 'Settings" on your unit. My riding buddy had the same issues and we found that the 'highway' & 'HOV Lanes' were checked to avoid. This sent him on backroads all over the place. But you are correct, there are times that the map is more fun and works very well!

Even tho you are having some issues right now. Those to shall pass! Then you are stuck with the best looking and fast factory bike. I will stand in line to buy if everyone else fails. It looks like it is going Mach I when parked! So cool!

I put the Cobra 6-2-6 mufflers on mine. Gave a nice sound, not loud like a Hardly or tinny like a VW. Just a nice rumble and has been complimented many times by other Wingers. Just a thought.

Besides the torq on the rear end, what does it do to the forks? They are positioned to take strain and movement from the front. I am wondering if this is pulling on the forks in the opposite direction they are designed for, then wouldn't it cause damage? Or am I looking at things wrong?
