Hi, I'm out in the garage now messing around with matches, heat gun, soldering gun. I just want to make sure that when this is done, it's done. Thank you for taking the time to give me some ideas. Thanks guys,
I'm going to practice a couple of times using a heat gun and see if it works and if it doesn't work I'll solder and shrink wrap.

As always thank you all

Re: Solder Seal

Hi, What if I tin the wires, I'd have to use very small amount of soldier but maybe if I just rubbed a small amount of flux would be better. I wonder if that would be enough? I know that a little flux goes a long way but I don't want to take a chance on messing up the seal of the shrink tubing part...

Re: Solder Seal

Hi aj1500,
Good I'm glad that they work well. The last thing that I wanted was to do some wire work and have it come apart. Now no need to flux the ends of the wires...right? I'll practice before I do the real McCoy.

Thanks aj

Solder Seal

Hi, Has anyone used those Solder Seal Wire Connectors? It's a connector that has solder in the middle and you stick the wire ends into each end of the connector then use a heat gun which shrinks the tubing and melting the solder producing a water proof butt joint. I don't want to use them if they fa...

Hi , Thanks for the information and that's what I'll do. Where do you have your ground bus mounted? I have a question, the place where you have your blue wire placed from your power plate is it the same place as this brass colored screw marked in the attached photo? Re: Electrical Connection Power Plate

If the battery negative post has an extra smaller wire, you can connect to it. If not, the body needs a ground near the battery and it's nut\bolted. You can connect there if it save routing too much wire. If you're trying to keep wires as short as possible, look for a bolt\nut that's on the frame n...

Re: Future Add-on's

The relay is used as a switch to turn on the power to the fuses on the power plate. The accessory output of the bike is fused at only 5 amps. So the accessory output is used to actuate the coil of the relay, which takes only a few milliamps. That relay in turn switches up to 30 amps, so it can swit...

Re: MICE ARE DRIVING ME CRAZY

Hi,
I'll give the dryer sheets a try for sure. I haven't used peppermints but did try cotton
Soaked in peppermint oil and the mice took the soaked cotton out of the metal container and made a nest out of it.

Thank you
