Re: How to fix your speedo error .

Most read faster than you are actually going. the first post is by a manufacturer trying to sell you something. I solved the speed error on my 08 wing by putting a 70 series tire on the back, Easy fix and it solved the speedo and odometer problem

There was recall on this. Look at this https://www.goldwingfacts.com/threads/s ... er.369209/ call Honda customer service if your dealer will not do the repair under the recall.

Re: Is 2001 speedometer different than 02-05?

If i remember correctly there was a recall or service bulletin on the 01 wing for that exact problem. You might want to check with your Honda dealer.http://gwrra-waa.org/pdf/1800SB8.pdf

I think it is to big and bulky for a couple things that could be mounted somewhere else easily. I'm not one for adding a bunch of stuff that will take your eyes and concentration off t he road. But that's just me.

Re: Lost my lockable right glove box cover

When you get it if it has a lock or if you buy another lock you can change that lock with you lock on the gas flap so it will be the same as your ignition key and use the lock on your gas flap and make a key knob out of it,

Re: Passenger Board Relocation

I know it's no help now but years back I think it was Markland that made a device called STARS, They attached the crash bar and the seat bolt, they folded when not in use and had 3 or 4 different height adjustments, My wife is just under 5 Ft and she loved them. You can look at the position of her f...

Re: Advice on bike for sale, '98 103k miles

As others have said, could be real good or real bad. A link to the ad would help so we can have more details. Most shops will NOT work on a bike that old and sometimes parts are not produced any more. If you can do the work it might be worth it depending on the overall condition and what it needs,

Re: Lighted Antenna

Good luck with your project but adding any weight to the antenna might not be a good thing, they flex enough in the wind without anything else on them, also it might interfere with reception.

As said before the ignition panel on some bikes does not fit properly, the ring that goes around the key slot has play in it to make up for the fit around the hole.

Re: How low is low MPG?

I have owned 3 1500 wings. A 92, 97 and a 98, I always got around 40 MPG and that is usually between highway and city riding. On our guys only ride where we would do mostly freeway riding to get out of town I would get over 40 mpg. As said before if you go over 70 MPH about 3000 RPM's you MPG will d...

Re: Cruise Control light constantly on

One other thing there was several recalls on the 03 wing, especially the frame re weld. Get the VIN and call a dealer to see if they have all been completed. Don't want to scare you but there are places that the frames are cracking that is not covered under Honda re weld. https://static.nhtsa.gov/od...
