Re: Nasty spark plugs
Hey guys, blew out an awful amount of rusty water from the right side of motor. Put in plugs and she fired right up, now I'm back to the problem I had before the accident, that is my starter not engaging but just spinning. One day it will crank fine, the next it doesn't want to engage at all. I gues...

Where is the most reputable place to buy a clutch cable
Guys, I'm not super knowledgeable about buying parts, I usually got them from my friends used bike shop, but he just passed away. What I want to know is which sites, besides ebay and saber cycle are good and trustworthy places to buy a clutch cable for my 82 gl 1100? Thanks guys....Rick.

Clutch cable broke, lever won't move
Hey guys, I was out on a ride today, about twenty miles from home. My clutch cable breaks at the lever. I think, no big deal, I'll just clamp my vice grips on and shift that way to get home. But no matter how much I pulled I couldn't get the clutch arm to move any. Some say I just need a cable becau...

Modified 79 caliper covers to fit 82 dual piston calipers

Need advice on converting caliper covers
Hey guys, the caliper covers I got in my chrome lot are for single piston front brakes and as we all know the 82 was double. My plan is to mark the caliper covers and drill two holes that line up with the two big bolts that hold the brake bracket on and mount that way. I have test fit my idea and it...

So I know they are super rare, hell, most guys have never heard of it. So that gives you an idea of how happy I ...

I found out, it's actually called an oil fill access cover. Drag specialties made it, it mounts to the engine cover and the fuel pump cover. Counting mine, I have only ever seen 5.

Well guys, I'm very embarrassed to say....I left all four of the carb sink bolts out! I would say that's a pretty big chance that was causing the miss and not idle, I'm learning giys, I'm getting there.
