I just stole this Bushtec for $100. It's in very nice shape for it's age. It needs the air lines replaced, which it came with new ones.
I feel like it's Christmas in July,,,lol.

Project Terrier Carrier! Do I dare?
So I have a small miniature rat terrier, Wilton. He weighs 14 pounds. I would love to take him on my 1500. Load up and go camping even. I've seen the pet carriers made for this but they are very pricey, no real security, and with no guarantee he would even get in one. That would be a big waste of mo...

Re: Pressure check and compressor not working
Ok, I'll take a stab at it. First of all there are three fuses that need to be checked; number 6,7 and 10 all three of which are 10 amp. If that doesn't help post again and I'll go through the schematic with you. Thanks for the reply. ALL the fuses in the fuse box tested good. Are there 2 I missed ...

Pressure check and compressor not working
When I first got this bike last year I remember seeing the pcheck button work. I can't remember if the compressor worked or not. I had too many other things I was working on just getting the bike running. So I've done every conceivable set up, on center stand, key in different position's, and what n...

Re: '95 Hidden Gas Leak?
4 months later, but I figured I should update this for anyone else who stumbles onto this thread. I rebuilt both carbs and accelerator pump with the Randakks kit. It was my left-hand float bowl gasket which was causing the leak. However, the main reason I wanted to update this thread was to inform ...

Re: Are these 90° valve stems ok?
I tried to copy the comment about it does not work on 88-2000 goldwing 1500 because of the raised part of the rim for the rubber valve stems that have that plastic holder notch. It says it would have to be modified or ground down. It all fit and looked fine to me. losing 6 pounds in 3+ months you w...

Re: Sudden electrical issue. No headlight or gauges
Thanks for the tips so far. I haven't tore into it yet.
There is a trailer wiring thing hooked up to the trunk lights, but it's not hooked up to the battery. And as far as the clicking relay goes when the brake lever is pulled, it's really loud. I've never ever heard it before.

Re: Sudden electrical issue. No headlight or gauges
Not really. A bad relay typically will cause something not to work, but doesn't blow fuses. I don't have a diagram for the 1989 and I know the first two years are very different from the later versions. If the relay has welded contacts, the lights or other load it controls would just be on all the ...

Re: Sudden electrical issue. No headlight or gauges
Update: I just checked all the fuses. The 15a tail light fuse was blown. I put a new one in, turned the key on and everything worked (I think) for a split second. Then the fuse blew. So there's no running lights. But I do have brake lights. When I pull the brake lever I can here what I assume is a r...

Sudden electrical issue. No headlight or gauges
89 1500. I put a new Motobike battery in awhile back and rode lot's of miles with no issues. Did that several times. The weather turned cold and I put it on the battery tender jr. Been on there about a week. Today I was going to go riding. Disconnected the tender clamps and put the side cover back o...

Re: Anyone travel with a dog on a Wing?
Carrying a dog in a trailer would be a really bad idea, thanks to the exhaust pipes just a couple of feet ahead. How about a dog carrier with screen sides, on the rear seat, maybe bungeed with the closed end down? Close off the bottom several inches, to give some warm area for lying down to sleep. ...

Anyone travel with a dog on a Wing?
So I recently got a new pup. Well, he's 7 month's old now. A miniature rat terrier. He loves going with me in the truck. All though I have not took him camping yet. But truck camping is coming. Before I got him I set up the 1200 I had (SOLD) to tow a Coleman Caboose trailer I bought. It towed great ...

Re: Show Chrome - LED Cornering Light Conversion Questions
Yup. All I did was remove the relay and plug the jumper right into where it was. On my 89 the po had added I think oem lights. Not sure. But they say Stanley. I think those might be oem. Point is, they were held in place by a mounting bracket that was secured with 2 little screws. I don't know if th...

Re: Show Chrome - LED Cornering Light Conversion Questions
I just did this on my 89. Have you had the lower fairing off yet and you can not find the relay? It's in a rubber cover attached to the frame right behind where the lights would be. The instructions say some years may need to splice the wiring. Mine was all plug and play. You remove the relay and pl...
