Re: The Goldwing as a Performance Oriented Bike

I have owned 3 goldwings... my first was a 1984 Aspencade... then to a 90 gl1500... now back to a 85 1200 interstate... I have never considered the Goldwing a performance bike,,, but a comfortable touring bike... I did not care for the 1500... It had all the toys but just did not fit me very well......

Re: What kind of tent do you have?

I used the kind of tent you are talking about with the external poles you have to thread through loops... As I got older,,, they were taking to long to set up... I have used the Ozark Trail brand for years and I saw they had an instant up tent... Remove from the bag and unfold... then as the poles a...

It take me less than 5 min to have the tent up and ready... I have an 18" double air bed to sleep on,,, very comf...

Question: The Blackwing Brace attaches to the lower bracket as an additional strengther ??? :?:

Re: leds in instrument panel

I have not changed my GL1500 yet but to relate to a Yamaha Venture Royale that I converted... The first thing I would change is the turn signal relay and make it a solid state one that supports LEDs... then you should be good to go... I am going to do a LED headlight when I do the change over... Goo...

The Austone conversion

I just converted to the Austone Taxi tire and I love it... A little tight to install and remember to put the little rubber flap that protects the electrics from water and stuff... I let it flap and the air pressure caused the flap to rub on the tire making a loud rubbing noise... Fixed that and rein...
