I don't think it makes any difference.

Re: THIS was a fun find

Yeah, lesson learned. The hard way. Well, the pads aren't too low, I just figured to replace them anyway. debating ti try to fix it just research a "new" caliper. In a better note, the rear pad change went awesome. But I did realize I should have changed them a while ago. A new caliper sh...

Re: Tires and wheels interchangability

Actually, the '88 and '89 wheels were a little different than the '90 through the '00. The rear wheels in particular are not directly interchangeable between the earlier and later models. The rear wheel has a 6 pin drive coupler and the '90 through '00 had a 5 pin drive coupler. The '88 and '89 rear...

I normally use chrome too but I do have Firefox so I tried that.
Yes, the link comes through in Firefox. I'm sorry it worked. I hate seeing a perfectly good machine being trashed. I guess I am old school and have too much respect for finely made machinery.

I really do not think Honda would recommend M77 it if it was not suitable.

The only motorcycle salvage places I have ever done business with are on Ebay.

The location you have in your profile is pretty broad. Makes it impossible for anyone to identify your location and report on a salvage yard near you.

I have been using two ounces of balance beads in my motorcycle and light trailer tires for about 10 years or so and have had no issues with tires out of balance. They just work.

As long as you are in-between the max and min, I would call it good.
And one more thing, I have to assume that you are doing these measurements when the engine is stone cold as called for in the manual.

Re: GL1800 Valve Adjustment - Shim Selection

I finally got around to checking My Valves on my 2012 Goldwing with 102,000 mile, for the first time. 10 out of 12 valves are right at the bottom end of the spec. Intake: 5 at .005 (spec.006+_.001) & Exhaust: 5 at .008 (spec. .009+_.001). A comment and question: The feeler gauge fit tight in so...

I wish I can help you with the whys and wherefores but I cant. Re: 1500 fork rebuild

My 1999 SE has anti-dive units on both forks. The item I'm referring to is # 20 oil lock piece. It is only on ONE of the fork pistons I am trying to verify that it goes into the LEFT fork. The written word in the official Honda manual says right fork, the picture shows left fork Now that we are sur...

If item #4, #6, and #9 in the diagram are what you are talking about, the parts breakdown shows that there are two of each for the SE fork set.

How about a picture of where you have the cams mounted? I do not have the Innov but the cam mounting is similar. I do not have a problem with the front fender encroaching on the video. But the bottom of the truck is in the shots on the rear. Here is where mine are on my 2017: 2017 Fwd.jpg2017 Rear....

I replaced the seal on the drive shaft and the one on the mating collar and the o-ring also. The reason I replaced them was due to it leaking. I reinstalled it like the Honda service manual said too. Thanks Is it possible that when you re-inserted the drive shaft into the swing arm that the forward...

When was the oil changed last and what oil did you use? Do you know what kind of oil the previous owner use? Hopefully it was not energy conserving oil. I'm not an oil aficionado so I can not advise what oil is proper or improper. But Energy Conserving oils need to be avoided. Change the oil and see...
