No they aren"t burned out they really don"t put out alot of lite especially the indicator ones?

fork oil qty?

here is something that gets irritating! changing the fork seals on my 82 gl1100I and when looking for the oil quantity and wouldn't you know it not in the owners manual. Anyone happen to know the correct quantity for this old girl? Thanks

Tom, I was toying with the idea of having footpads and then having access to the brake with easier forward foot pressure. On the Harley and Indian it was a comfortable operation. Allan

Yep didn't explain it very well did I! On the newer Harley's and Indians. The brake lever is mounted to the front of the foot pad and you push forward instead of down like the Hondas I was wondering if there's a way to mount a foot lever to the front like those bikes

Thanks for the info guys! it never hurts to get different opinons, The rear tire is a 140/19-60. And for Deanbw you are right about the age thats the problem I am having right now the rear is older than the front and is starting to ck. Allan

Here's a question am need of a rear tire for my 82 1100 which has a conti on it and am going to replace it with a MC tire was wondering what people belive is the best tire for the money. Ive been looking at some Metzlers and Dunlops just looking for more info. Thanks Allan10

Good info the solenoid was put in last year new cables have all been pulled and both them and posts cleaned including ground. The starter was pulled and reworked last year that is the big reason I'm leaning that way but want to cover all my bases thanks for the info Allan

Thanks wingman the cables have been pulled and cleaned the starter was gone thru last year by someone else so im not sure whats been actually done. A question I have is what kind and where would you buy a new starter if need to. Thanks Allan

on my 1982 gl1100I then sensor on top what is it for and is a new molder cover and sensor available. its the one that if you go from the oil fill cap to the top with 1 wire. Thanks allan

Thats interesting I just pulled it up honda goldwing gl1100 and it came back with 30,000+ hits. believe me when I say Ive tried it every way possible but will work with this way and see what happens. Wonder if ebay was having a problem or just up here in ND. Tahnks

The starter was pulled and refreshed this spring. I will adjust the valves and ck for carb flooding as the carbs were rebuilt this spring also but it won't hurt to ck. will have to ck the grounds though I'm sure they could use some work. This bike sat for a few years and it's been a work in progress...

Installed the 7 volt kit myself it took a bit more time as had to get by all the stuff up front but the guages work alot smoother and more responsive now. Thanks Allan

well got the battery in and it turns everything over nicely not sure what was causing the excess spin in the beginning unless the starter was not engaging fully. Not sure but will watch it. Thanks for the inf Allan10
