Re: WHO HAS EVER DUMPED THEIR WING?

I was working up the other side of Fort mcmurray and doing a 14 day shift. I wasn't taking the bike until daytime temps were in the double digits and above freezing overnight. My thought was after doing my shift it would be warmer. My home day was the only snow we got If I was able to leave an hour ...

Re: WHO HAS EVER DUMPED THEIR WING?

I called the girlfriend to come get me and I planned on leaving bike there. But after two hours it cleared up enough to move on. When I first stopped it was at the ramp to the rest area and I was starting to clean some light snow from helmet and windshield and wind picked up out of nowhere and about...

Re: WHO HAS EVER DUMPED THEIR WING?

2 hours after I took that pic the sun came out and the roads bared up some and I rode it out of there. I had a 4 1/2 ride home and only half an hour with snow. While I was parked trucks were throwing slush up about 4 feet. The storm only got bad about 20 minutes before I stopped but was a light snow...

Re: WHO HAS EVER DUMPED THEIR WING?

I got caught in snow in May of 2014, I pulled off the highway in a rest area to clean the snow off the windscreen and as I was turning into a parking spot the back end went out on me. Only damage was one broken highway peg. I did get it vertical by myself but took a few tries as my riding boots have...

Re: need a bike to ride

I can't help you with a bike there as I'm now living in Alberta. But being from Nova Scotia I know a week doesn't give you a lot of time to see things

Re: do I or not

Thanks I think I encounter that often. Just figured it was something I was doing. Going from third up I think it's gone up and let the clutch out to find I'm still in third. I thought it was odd that I only had that issue in that shift change.

Re: do I or not

97-2000 SE models are the ones you want. Honda fixed the the tranny issues with Valk parts, the SE models have all the bells and whistles. While the 1100 is quicker off the line, the 1500 is faster from 3rd gear on. the 1500 is bigger and WAY more comfy. 8-) I have a 96se. Are there issues with tha...

What to do in Miami

Anyone have any ideas on what to do in Miami the end of January? I'm flying in on January 20th for a cruise departing January 24th. We took the extra time to see some of Miami as we've never been there before. I've seen some of the excursions the cruise has in Miami including rides in the Everglades...

Re: Yet some more helmet questions

The girlfriend and I both have the bilt modular helmets and both of us have our own bikes. We have been using them for the last 2 years. I do notice a little wind noise and people who I've talked to over the Bluetooth connection on my phone have said they everything clear and no background noise. Th...

Re: Edmonton to Dawson yukon

Looking at google maps that looks like a great trip down highway 37 but also looks to be longer. I have to be back in Edmonton on the 16th and I've thought of picking up the milepost and then I heard some places listed in there are closed, I would hate to use it as a guide to a fuel stop only to get...

Any camping suggestions? As to where? Google mays shows it being a 30 hour ride. We are thinking of 10 hours a day b...

Hi all. I've been reading posts here for about a year on and off and just signed up today. I ride a 1996 1500 that I bought April 2014 My first ride was a 450 nighthawk back around 1984. Sold that to move up to a 750 but that never happened took a big interest in Goldwings at that time and knew one ...
