Re: My Aspencade, i washed it, now it won't start
I go over mine with compressed air after a wash. Every place where water can collect and hold.instrument panels, all handlebar switches, spark plug holes, etc. It doesn’t need to be high pressure. And I never pressure wash.

Fuel shutoff valve and vacuum line to it? You can bypass it it to see if it is functioning properly or not.

[quote=4given post_id=393978 time=1652702500 user_id=75171] I agree, and it looks like “eyeball” tolerance. This doesn’t look like an aftermarket option. That's what it looks like to me, too. And someone's "eyecrometer" could use calibration. [/quote...

Re: Proficient Motorcycling (VIDEO)
... I don't ever claim to know everything buddy. I learn something new every season seriously. Just things maybe taught in courses there than I don't see taught here. I have never taken a riding course. Never was required in my younger days. Countersteering is something in the book that I just have...

Maybe the title of this subject should be changed. “Bungled” can be taken very negatively and can thus be very offensive to some. (TIC)

Re: Can someone suggest an AGM battery?
I thought I’d give my 2cents. About 3 years ago I thought my Duralast AGM (EXT18L) was going so I bought a Motobatt because Scott gave it good reviews. Turned out because of my laziness the ground wasn’t tight and the Duralast wasn’t the issue. As is my MO, I jumped to the wrong conclusion without c...

Re: Air cleaner base install
What Wingadmin said. It’s also accessible by taking the plastic off and removing the right side fan. No need to add to the frustration by trying put the clamp back on. It is tight enough to stay without it since there is no pressure involved.

Sometimes it’s just a matter of the exact angle that you try to pull it off of the shaft. I fooled around with mine for 20 minutes or more and then it fell right off.

Re: Progressive rear shocks?
I do not have the 416s, although I hear the 412s will work great. Many online comments and some other Goldwing Gurus I have chatted with indicate the 412s will work great. You don’t need an air compressor with the 412s. They are not air shocks. The only problem with them on a GL1500 is adjusting th...

Re: WINDSHIELD
Mine is very tall too, actually a hinderance to get on the bike. I may cut mine a bit and polish the edge back up. I did just that with a windshield that I took off when I replaced it with a Slipstream that my wife bought me for Christmas. I cut 4” off the old one and use it during warm weather rid...

Re: Filled my 1500 and drove till it ran out!
Two main things affect my fuel mileage. 1. Windshield-I have two. One tall that I use when the weather turns chilly and one that I cut down about 4 or 5 inches and use all summer. Big difference- about 3 or 4 mpg. 2. How I drive. I mostly drive like an old person, which I am. I can get over 40 mpg w...
