Re: 1980 Goldwing 1100 one owner for sale

Bigzook. Hi, Yes I still have the bike. It's in my garage. It's on a motorcycle jack with both tires off the ground. It's on a burner plus charger. I have not put it on the road because I'm driving the new bike. It has only 28303 miles on it. I will sell for $1999 or best reasonable offer. (will not...

1980 Goldwing 1100 w/ vetter fairing for sale

I have a 1980 Goldwing and have been the only owner. Had it totally refurbished in 2009. Runs great! "BUT" I have a new bike and must get rid of this GW. It is truly in great shape with only 28000 miles on it. Has always been garaged but now it must go. (wife thing) It has been registered, insured a...

Re: How to winterize your motorcycle

:D you can't beat a battery tender. can't remember the last time i changed my battery , which performs flawlessly during the season. Thanks for the winterizing tips. My 1980 Goldwing still looks and runs great.

Snow storm on Halloween!!!!

:( Certaintly not ready to store my 1980 GL1100 so early. Need to wait for the snow to melt to prep the bike for storage. The article (with great photos) for winterizing bike is outstanding. Honda should include it in their manuals. Great stuff.

electrical issues GL1100 (1980)

Just a heads up. Earlier i had looked to solve some issues I was having with my 1980 Goldwing GL1100. I was in the process of having it rehabbed. It was bogging down under load. Ran great in neutral. The problem was resolved replacing the CDI unit (which is no longer made ) and the Pulsar Unit. Both...

Re: GL1100

The bike runs great under full throttle in neutral but as you drive and shift and accellerate tends to bogs down. It doesn't backfire. Not sure if it's to lean or electrical.

GL1100

I have a 1980 GL1100 since new. Just rehabbed it. Starts and idles OK but driving under load seems to bog down whether you gas it slowly or try to air it out. Maybe some electrical issue? What do you think may be the problem?
