Re: Oh boy, right bank running rich...

I took airfilter housing off, slides were ok and moved nicely. I blowed air through vent tube (tube to mouth and blowed myself, not very compressed air flow :D ) They were open. It still idled bad, couldn’t see any fuel dripping. Shut off the engine, twisted throttle to activate acceleration pump, s...

Oh boy, right bank running rich...

Maybe it’s the weather, 86F what is very very unusual temp here :D Or... my wing got angry cause I was testing a Road King earlier today  Started to run poor this evening, idle is rough. Took plugs out, right side all black... Replaced all with spare ones, start, is running nice but after few...

Re: where does this hose go

Looks like drain tube under airfilter housing.
Connects to a part nr 5

This pic is -97 model, maybe same in -93?
-88 is different, tube connects to straight to airfilter housing.

Re: putting the rear tire back on

Hi there! I assume you have air pressure off from rear shocks... If shock tries to force swing arm a bit downwards, bolt will not line up as it’s now open and out of threads. Does it help if you try to force shock’s lower end upwards a bit (maybe a large flat screw driver etc suitable tool) and try ...

Re: Power loss

Maybe... maybe I finally found the reason. Next I want to face heavy rain to see how it runs... Well, no... it was not only this. But... :D one question here in forum a couple days ago made me think, ventilation for carbs. Damn, I placed a tube from vent pipe to down under bike 2 years ago. Took it...

Re: What is this?

Hi,

It is a carb vent pipe, it’s not missing anything.

I don’t know if it’s a problem to put new tube from there to down under bike...?

Re: GL1500 Running Rough with Fouled Plugs

Check the choke plunger that it really goes off in carburetor when you set choke off in the handlebar. I had that few years ago in left carb, it sounded like missing spark. Just a bit open is enough... For this reason, I have placed a spring to choke plate (where choke cable is attached in the carbs...

Re: 88 GL1500 dies when i pull clutch at red light

How was the color in old spark plugs? Has this recall been done? http://www.goldwingworld.com/pages/sb2.pdf 88 model, default pilot mix screws were 3 1/8 turns open. Recall tells finally 2 1/8 open after parts changed. I would test it by turning screws in, count the turns. Then open what you counted...

Re: Power loss

Update II Last week we had very very windy weather, went for a ride. Found out that when riding against hard wind, it does the same... not enough fuel. Drove back the same highway wind behind, no problems at all. So, I figured it must be float level too low (I have checked it 2 years ago, 8m...

Update

Pump kit arrived yesterday, today was installation.

Test drive succesfull!! It runs nice to 140-150kmh without any signs of missing fuel.

Second thing is that when it rains next time, is my ”power loss in heavy rain” problem disappeared...

We’ll see...

After a week standing under cover, temps 70-80F, went for a ride and when I turned radio on, left channel has volume right away about 40% and if I turn volume knob about half I can hear right side coming along. Does volume knob adjust channels or is it something in mother board? Even I turn volume k...
