Re: Northwest Territories this Spring
Jim Cathy and I rode through your most beautiful state of New York and wished that we had the time available to see more . There are lots of 'roads less traveled' that show off old communities and forests, farm lands and lakes (again not enough time). We traveled North along Lk Erie to cross at "the...

Re: Northwest Territories this Spring
Rednaxz60 - I like the route you have chosen and by your comments, you are in good hands (Sonya) ref. planning. I'm going with my Bunkhouse (rolling accommodations), had thought of a tent just for weight considerations but with camping comes 'stuff' and the trailer has carrying capacity (as apprecia...

Re: Northwest Territories this Spring
Talked to a few of the Alaskans that I play golf with here in AZ and their take on "the best time to travel" is the end of June through to the end of July. They say they see lots of bikes most of which are duel sport type. The Demster Hwy is tight bladed gravel surface with its share of pot holes an...

Re: MadStad GL1500 Windshield
I haven't ridden in the rain as yet (in AZ for the Winter) but that was one of the reasons for purchasing this windshield. I got caught in a down pour in Ontario while on the Military Police ride across Canada. I had to stand up as I could not see and that is something I don't want to do again. One ...

MadStad GL1500 Windshield
I purchased and installed a MadStad windshield and I LIKE IT! Ran my Trike up to a sustained 80 mph on I-10 to test it, made one adjustment to the height and with the angle at 60 deg I experienced no buffeting. I went on a ride with my wife and she said she was comfortable so.... it has performed as...

Re: Use an auto tire on the front wheel of a trike?
Just got back from a ride across Canada and the USA put approximately 19000 Kilometres on my Avon trike tire and I'm very pleased with the handling and wearability.

Re: Seeking assistance with Rtn trip- Nova Scotia thru USA to --

Re: Use an auto tire on the front wheel of a trike?
I just mounted my second Avon Trike tire on my 1500. I am happy with the handling, it is good with wet conditions and the feel is an improvement over other (rear) tire installs. I got good wear based upon the driving conditions I experienced. I will be starting on a 20,000 Km ride on the 27th July a...

Re: Trip coming up
Ernest.. Thanks, the Wife and I are looking forward to a great ride with great company. We rode to Winnipeg with the group last year and made the decision to go across Canada based upon that experience. I know Kyle and Sprinkles and Sandra and will be camping with them along the way. Spent some time...

My wife and I (plus other riders) will be leaving Nova Soctia on the 29th Aug for our return leg (to Keremeos BC) of our cross Canada (Victoria BC to St Johns Nfld) Military Police National Motorcycle relay ride. We will cross into Maine and wonder through the NE states re entering Canada at Niagara...

Re: what do you use to lift your trike for service and inspection
Best buy auto equip has some good products and I'm tempted but TerryT's lift has impressed me and I think that I will pursue that as a project this Winter. Having access to the underside of a Trike is my focus and many of the lifts provide limited room through a drop down deck section. The addition ...

Re: Seeking assistance with Rtn trip- Nova Scotia thru USA to --
I decided to utilize the Travel Planing option offered with membership. I called the service office about 10 days ago and requested a route from Nova Scotia to Buffalo through New York State. Lots of questions answered but no info received yet. Has anyone else had any experience with this Trip Plann...

Re: MC Camper trailer tires are not good
I bought the Carlille tire and I think I'll like them. The tire tread design is far superior to the tires that were mounted at the factory. They are somewhat bigger but not a problem. I think I will have better traction in wet conditions and that will ease my mind as the trip through Ontario and Eas...

Re: Additional Lights - Need to be seen
Having a Trike has the benefit of having more rear lights. The stock trunk lights function as per and the trike body has a good display so the combined effect is good. I did replace bulbs to get brighter display and I think I've done as much as I can with that. I do like the idea of side lighting an...

What cooler do you have/recommend
Cross Canada road trip this summer and I feel that a mini fridge would be useful. When I traveled with my Kamloops Chap G group to Kennewick WA on the Memorial wk end I observed that many at the gathering, who pulled a trailer, had a 12V "cooler" mounted on their trailer reach. Doing a 'search' on t...

Re: Additional Lights - Need to be seen
Roger that! New enforcement or rather a greater focus on/ of the window tinting laws as they pertain to vehicle side windows has been announced here in British Columbia. I seems that the distracted drive law has caused some to find ways around the scrutiny by police by darkening their side windows. ...

Additional Lights - Need to be seen
I am thinking I need MORE lights up front and have considered the addition of an LED 'yellow' type fog light to ogment the LED head light and LED cornering lights installed this Winter. There are two light bar options, a wide bar which situates the lights just inside the grips and a narrow bar above...

Re: what do you use to lift your trike for service and inspection
cost of steel is somewhat expensive these days but I think I will do a drawing and mat list for costing. This may be a good project for this winter when I'm in Arizona as I have a garage there and a friend that can assist with the fabricating. I'll keep an eye out for recycling opportunities to cut ...

Re: what do you use to lift your trike for service and inspection
its an air cylinder that you use .. correct? Do you have a "safety" loc out in case of air pressure loss? I'm looking at your photos to try and figure material type and size etc. as I think that I could replicate your hoist.. if thats ok. You have a background in metal and mechanics I'm guessing. Gr...
