Re: Neutral light off when key is on.

The neutral light gets the +12v from the reverse lever switch, and the ground from gear position sensor via the reverse diode assy as shown below.

So you should check not only the +12v but also the ground circuit of the light.

Probably the mechanism inside the rubber boot needs some lubrication.

Re: 1500 no start

Won't start in reverse.... I was pointing to the possibility of the "A" relay sticking, you can move the reverse lever to disable the "B" relay to stop the starter from spinning if the "A" relay sticks. So if your starter is stuck "On" again, instead of disconnecting the battery to stop it, see if ...

I think your problem is at the reverse lever switch shown below. Move the lever up and down several times and try to start the bike.

Re: Front right wheel cover fouling

Those brackets are quite soft and easily bent when loosening or tightening the pinch bolts.
You can check the gaps by looking from the front of the bike to the gaps between the front wheel discs and rim covers.
You should see the discs are out of the covers and see the gaps are equal on both sides.

Two 5A fuses are in a rubber boot behind the battery. Check both of them since it is difficult to distinguish.

Have you done something else on the bike?

There shouldn't be any noise caused by a regular LED bulb, could you share a picture and the properties of the LEDs you have used?

Re: heavy shrieking noise from cooling fan, affecting speed gauge

As I mentioned before, there may be 3 reasons. And most likely the third one according to your input, the brass housing. If the speedo wire can not rotate freely, it will start twisting inside and then spin suddenly after some time causing sudden needle movement. You have to remove the speedometer g...

Re: Passenger Floor Boards

Passenger floor board has only two positions, up or down. There is not any other adjustment point. The adjustment knob is under the right rear pocket. I would replace the timing belts since they are quite cheap, and easy to be replaced. You can adjust the handlebar up or down loosening the 4 bolts o...

Re: Reverse won't engage.

Ok, there are a lot of parts on the reverse system. It would be better to download the wiring diagram in the following link, if you haven't done so far, and troubleshoot accordingly. https://goldwingdocs.com/Manuals.asp You can start with checking 5A fuse near the battery and the 65A fuse under the ...

Re: Reverse won't engage.

Does your bike have a headlight on/off switch on the left handle bar?
The reason that I ask this question is, the headlight should not go off while depressing the start/reverse button (while reversing) on an US spec bike which does not have a headlight switch.

I'm stumped with this one. Any assistance would be appreciated.

Do you have to remove the kick stand to get this little bugger off?

thanks in advance!
Andrew
I could remove it while the side stand was still there.
