Re: Looking for front speakers 93 GL1500A

I have been using AlpineSXE 1025s, 4", 2 way, 4ohm, 180w as front and rear speakers for 3 years without any problem.
For rear I had to reshape the housing on the trunk a little bit with a heat gun (a 5 minute job) since the back of the speaker is thicker than the OEM one.

Re: Reverse not working

It is not the only relay in the system, there are some others too. Here are two pictures of the start reverse diagram. So, it will be better to follow the diagram for troubleshooting. You can ignore the red dots, which are my notes showing the differences from earlier models. Relay A (Starter relay ...

Re: Foot warmer cable

Good afternoon all, An old thread to be sure, but I seem to have a similar problem. My dilemma is, how do you open the junction tube where the three cables connect? Is there any special way to open it? If you've done it before, how did you do it without breaking anything? When I work the lever to t...

I think you are talking about the connector for High Mount Accessory Light on the trunk. Not for speakers.

Re: What are that gauges for?

What are the colors of the wires in the 3rd picture? It should be either the AICV or Shot Air selenoid valve. There are some design differences especially before 1993. So, be careful and use the service manual and circuit diagrams when modifying the bike. And I think the part in the last picture is ...

Reverse system is so complicated that involves many mechanical and electrical components, I can't imagine this conversion.

Re: This Doesn't Look Good

Just getting ready for the inevitable job of replacing a relay............I've already purchased spares for the day when one of the many relays will fail.............and from all the posts, it seems like it's only a matter of time. My problem is with the trike, it appears that the relay box has bee...

According to the partzilla catalog they have different part numbers, shape and probably color.

I haven't tried in this place but, two power magnets can be used here I think.
I have used them for more than two years on the rear molding clips without any problem.

Re: 1995 Just died going down the road

If you are wondering about your Bank Angle Sensor, just stop at your local Honda shop and have them run your VIN to find any record of having been done. If it hasn't been replaced they will order one and change it out for you at no charge. It is a safety issue and if the bike is still on the road i...

Re: Overdrive light indicator

As WingAdmin explained we should eliminate some possibilities when troubleshooting. If we can set the cruise control in 5th gear we will understand that the culprit is on the light bulb side, either the bulb or wiring, connector etc. should be checked using the circuit diagram. Also, the gear positi...

Re: My Take on Shifter Brace

Here is a simple drawing of my idea. There will be only one piece with a groove on it housing the shifter shaft. Are you thinking one part, as in red, with a slot? That's NOT going to solve anything. What you want is a way to keep the splined part of the bike's original shift shaft in the same arc ...

Re: My Take on Shifter Brace

That solution is missing the pivot point you need. You really have to make a stiff construction or else you keep movement in your shifter shaft. It has to revolve around a fixed point in line of the shift axle , like on my bike No, it is not missing the pivot point. I tried to draw the groove aimin...

Re: My Take on Shifter Brace

Ok, no problem.
I am thinking about another and easy solution for this issue.
Maybe an arc shaped piece can be made to house the shifter shaft and installed on the crash bar bolt. So there will be only one added piece and no need to cut the shield etc.

Re: Oil loss from breather tube

Are you sure it is not coming from the rear area like the final drive gear box breather, rear shock absorber pressure release valve etc?

Also, if it is coming from the left side under the engine block, the shift lever seal or the alternator seal might be the culprit.
