Thank you for your answer. Do you know what the fuse is for?
It is the main fuse that provides power to almost everywhere on the bike.

I have a 1998 gl1500 that won’t start..Please look at picture, there is supposed to be a fuse. Please advise.F09DA2E8-8457-4F9F-8C9A-90401D068247.jpeg,
There is a 30A fuse under the cover, and should be a spare one under the rubber holder.

Re: 91 1500 left fork exploded view

Maybe it is not an OEM part, would you add a picture of the part for better comment?

Also, the part #6 shown in the picture is found in both forks of later models (I need to check for the exact date).

I think the difference is because of some changes or modifications made during the years.
My 2000 model bike has the piece #5 in the picture.

Re: fork springs help.

I am not sure the model differences between the years, but on my 2000 model bike, I hadn't experienced such a tension.
Just jack up the front tire to extend the forks and then remove the top nut.
After removing the top nut you can drill and tap it for an Allen bolt.

Re: 96 gl1500 no spark

Have you done something related with the pulse generators?
There was an issue in which the PG connectors were found to be swapped.

Also remove, check and reinstall the ECU connector. Because the real connector is inside the black connector, and it is sometimes found to be loose or disconnected.

Thanks AZgl1800, I will take a look at that site today. The L Shelter, this is the OEM Term, is the left side of the fairing with the vents in it that the Reverse level goes through.

L Shelter.jpg
The OEM term seems to be SHELTER SET, L. SIDE.
And the other one is SHELTER SET, R. SIDE.

Re: Rear Shock air question

To give an idea, you can buy and dismantle a cheap compressor and compare the pistons. Maybe it is a standard part. Second, you can build the piston rod by yourself using a piece of aluminum and some tools. It mustn't be too difficult. Third, you can take the broken piston to a welding shop and have...
