Re: GL1500 Headlight adjustment screw

I know about the knob, I'm referring to #3 in the picture that was missing. Also when I was re-assembling everything after it was painted the adjuster that is controlled by the knob directly behind the headlight in the top left corner would not move so I could out the headlight assembly back in so I...

GL1500 Headlight adjustment screw

I installed LED Headlight Bulbs on my 95' Goldwing Aspencade Trike. While doing so I noticed that the adjustment bolt nut or whatever it's called in the center on the bottom of the Headlight Assembly was missing. While driving at night I've noticed the headlights are not shining where they should be...

Re: Bluetooth Helmet with Intercom

I purchased the Sena Savage it's factory installed. It's a helmet with bluetooth already in it. But it's very pricey I got lucky getting it at a great buy off of eBay. Seller said the helmet was brand new and was selling it because his motorcycle was stolen. I was surprised he let it go so cheap.

Bluetooth Helmet with Intercom

I was searching eBay for a new helmet and came across a Sena Savage Helmet with a opening bid of $90.00 and no reserve. I use a sniping bid tool so I don't have to watch the auction to the last minute as I set it to bid 3 seconds prior to the auction ending also prevents getting into a bidding war. ...

Re: altenator

you should be quite proficient at taking it out and re installing it by now lol. It took me a while to pull it and even longer to put it back out. My mechanic has it out and back in within just a few minutes. He even rebuilt my carburetors in a short amount of time.

Re: 4"x6" speakers in the dash?

In that case dremel has several different bits you can use to open it up a little more then. I thought you were using the 4x6 speakers much bigger job. I made a mess trying cut it to fit finally gave up and installed in the pockets. Go to your local hardware or home depot they should have a good sel...

Re: 4"x6" speakers in the dash?

I ended up installing them in the pockets. The dash gets to butchered up and are difficult to fit if you don't know what you're doing

Re: altenator

While I just installed an aftermarket 90 amp from Amazon I noticed while tightening the bolts that it was starting to pinch the O-ring so i backed off on the bolt. I then repositioned the 0-ring so it wasn't pinching and then watched it closely as I tightened the alternator. The bad thing is you can...

Kickstand safety switch

I removed the center stand and the kickstand from my 95' Aspencade Trike. After removing the kickstand I rotated the saftety switch to when the light on the dash went out. Started the bike put it in gear and died. Tried a few more times same result. I then rotated the switch until the light went bac...

Re: Alternator not charging

Thank you I had purchased them from cyclemax but he didn't ship them right out and I needed them right away so I had to cancel. I think it was like $23 with shipping but I bought them from a local Honda dealer for $25. I did purchase the brushes and fuel petcock from him

Re: GL1500 Items for Sale

It's still for sale. Prices for these radios are all over the place kinda hard what price to put on it. I can say it works great. You can make an offer and we can go for there and i'll have to figure shipping cost. Where are you located? Do you need anything else I have some pieces of fairing needin...

Re: Alternator not charging

I took the alternator apart and 1 of the brushes was broke in half. Seems kind of odd it could break like that. I guess i'll order some new brushes and sell it then

Re: Alternator not charging

Thank you after looking at pictures at some of the parts houses I was able to see as you stated that they're connected in pairs. I did purchase them from Cyclemax also. I went with the Hitachi 90 Amp alternator because I have an amp and LED Lights rather be safe than sorry. I'll check the brushes on...

Re: Alternator not charging

I finally removed the alternator with much aggravation it was a heck of a time. Can anyone tell me if the dampers are separate pieces or are they all connected together. I pulled 2 of them out and from what I could see the majority of them are joined together but the 2 I inspected appeared to have a...

Re: Alternator not charging

Thanks. I'm thinking since it's more likely to be the alternator to go ahead and replace it with an aftermarket 90 amp alternator. I've add several extras like radio, amplifier and LED lights. So it would be a wiser choice to go with a larger output alternator.

Alternator not charging

Thursday I installed the fuel pump and it seemed to be running fine. Friday I rode it about 20 miles to get inspected and registered seemed to be no issues. The Jensen radio I installed has a low battery warning and on my way home which was just a few more minutes down the road I start hearing a bee...

Re: Aftermarket replacement for GL1500 fuel pump

Thanks for everyone's responses. I went ahead and installed it myself since I hadn't heard back from the mechanic as to when he could do it. Wasn't as difficult as I thought it would be, the hardest part was getting the breather hose off. I used the Airtex pump with the elbow and new pickup screen. ...

Re: Fuel Pump

Travis thanks for your input. I paid $18.00 for a new Carter pump on Ebay and I also purchased the hose the elbow and the screen. Hard to say which way to go there are so many aftermarket pumps it's hard to decide which is the best. I will look at the airtex as you recommended. It's sure a great dea...

Thanks I bought the pump, strainer, 90 degree fitting, and 1 foot length of submersible fuel line. Hopefully this will correct the problem.
