Re: 1800 Rings of Fire For Sale

I would be interested in buying the covers if you still have them. The only thing is I live in NC. I would be willing to add $25 if your able to box them up and ship via UPS/FEDEX.

Just let me know.

Thanks.

Re: Changing clutch set for GL1500 Aspencade

I removed all the bolts from the clutch cover but I can figure out how to get it off. I don't want to pry and break something. Any tips or tricks on removing the cover? Also I didn't realize that some bolts were shorter and others longer. Does anyone have a diagram as to witch hole gets a long bolt ...

Re: Clutch replacement

I rebuilt my clutch slave cylinder with no issues. However, I can get the oil seal out that the clutch push rod goes through. I was going to remove the rear plate the slave cylinder bolts to and removed all the bolts but it won't budge. Do I need to pry it or is there something else I'm missing?

Re: Clutch Slave Cylinder overhaul

So what is the secret to removing the oil seal? Mine was bad too, but now it is really tore up from trying to get it out and after an hour or more, I don't think I have begun to move it.

12 volt accessory power supply

I want to add an accessory to my bike that requires 12 volts. I want to connect it so that power is only supplied when the key is in the accessory or run position and kills the power when you remove the key. I was wondering if anyone has experience or ideas on the best place to connect to. The item ...

Reduced MPG

I have noticed a large drop in MPG for my 1998 GL1500 SE. I have 38093 miles and I was getting about 36-38 MPG and could go about 220 miles on a tank of gas. Over the past month or so I only get about 28-30 MPG and can only go about 150 miles on a tank of gas. Everything runs good and smooth. Not su...

Re: Speedometer Problem

Thanks. I found a picture and see that the little flat blade the comes out of the speedo where the cable connects has broken. I'm going to replace the speedo and cable.

Speedometer Problem

My speedometer quit working. I have read several of the post dealing with speedometer issues but still have a question. When the bike is moving, there is a clicking sound that increases and decreased with speed. I have disconnected the cable from the speedo gear thing and the clicking has stopped. H...

Is there a Bluetooth device you can add to the factory installed intercom on a 1998 GL1500SE that will allow you to continue to use the bikes audio system, intercom system, CB radio and allow you to integrate your cell phone to where you can make/receive calls and stream the audio from your phone's ...

Re: Adding a Bluetooth phone interface to my GL1100 intercom

I see that this post is pretty old and was wondering if anyone ever found the best way to hook up a Bluetooth device to the bikes intercom system so you can make and receive calls and stream music/gps from phone while using the bike's intercom. I have a 1998 GL1500SE and I have been searching for aw...

Replacing CB Antenna with Firestick

I was wondering if anyone has replaced their stock CB antenna with a better and newer one to help improve the range on their CB. I used a No Ground Plane Firestik on my previous bike and was thinking of getting one for my GL1500SE. I'm just not sure how the holes will line up and if if will make a d...
