Re: Best GPS for non-Nav wings
I've used Garmin auto units for many years. Currently use a Drive 65 LMT. Larger screen, not as bright as the Zumo but I still am able to read it well.

Re: Trike Opinions
I'm on my second trike. It takes a short "learning" period to get used to a trike after riding a two wheeler. The problem for me was overcoming the feeling of going over the high side in a curve. You are so used to leaning into and around the curve and not being able to do that gives the s...

Re: Steam Cleaner For Motorcycles - Anyone Tried This?
JMO: When I was stationed at NCS Londonderry in the '60's, I would use the galley outside pot/kettle steamer to clean my Matchless 650. It did a great job and I never had a problem caused by the steam cleaner. HOWEVER, that was before vehicles became rolling computers!

Re: Go Pro addition
I have several places that I can mount my GoPro's. Top or side of my helmets using the GoPro stick on mounts. Great videos but you need to be aware that turning your head makes videos jarring to watch. Front of my windscreen (GL1800) using the GoPro stick on mounts. Top and/or bottom of my trunk lug...

Re: Gl1800 windshield mechanism
Viking already stated that it must go all the way to the top before it can be dropped back down. I had that problem shortly after I bought my 2008 trike. Someone on here, possibly Viking, responded....I lifted it all the way up, and voila! I could then push it all the way back down.

I simply open the left fairing pocket, plug the 3.5mm plug into my iPod, turn on the iPod, maximize the volume on the iPod, close the fairing pocket and then adjust the speaker/headset volume using the bikes controls.

Re: Compare spyder with Honda goldwing trike
JMO: I was looking to replace my 2009 RSV Hannigan trike and was interested in the Can Am Spyder. I went to my local dealer for a test ride. I had test ridden one about three years prior when I instead elected to have the Venture "triked". I found the steering to be quite "twitchy&quo...

Re: Intercom volume
I had the same "problem" and was told that the volumes are different for headsets and speakers. Can't remember who explained it to me but the fix was to put on the helmet/headsets and then push the volume knob and then adjust the headset volume as you would adjust for the speakers. My 2008...

Re: First significant ride with wife on new trike
Hannah and I have been "triking" for about 6 years. We find it extends our riding season by a fair amount of time. That of course depends on how you feel about cold weather riding. We both enjoy the stability of a more upright riding position. That also will depend on how you feel about ro...

Re: Cigarette lighter location
My cousin has one mounted center of his GL1500 but not on the handlebar. I believe it came with a changeable mount for handlebar or Ram mount and I believe the guy who installed it for him built it into a small unit along with another gadget. It does have a penchant for blowing fuses. Not sure in th...

Re: Turn signal???
Just an aside: Fuses are routinely considered either good or bad. Either they work or they have "blown". Once during my Navy career I encountered a "partially" blown fuse. Seems the piece of communications equipment suddenly stopped working and then started and then stopped and t...

Re: Beverage holder for 1800 Goldwing
Mine is not elegant but it is highly functional and works really well. I cut a piece of 4inch diameter PVC pipe 6inches long. I next cut a slot about 2.5 inches down the side to allow cups/mugs with handles to fit. I drilled a hole in the tubing to match the clutch mounted cup holder that was not la...

I've had a Hannigan trike and now riding a MotorTrike. They were/are both stable, cornered very well, handled great and were/are pretty much trouble free. My cousin and a friend I know have California Side Car conversions and again they have indicated no problems. I believe the problems you may enco...

No dealings but I did call and talk with them a couple of years ago. I was considering a trailer they had for sale. Similar to the Harbor Freight Tag-a-long trailer. It was not currently in stock, shipment was due in a couple of weeks. The gentleman was friendly and up front about everything.

SENA no longer has those? There should still be some in the supply chain. Try searching Cycle Gear, J & P, Amazon, etc. You should or might find one or two still out there waiting for a buyer. JFI: SENA has a couple of helmets with the communicator and/or communicator/camera built in. I've looke...

The Back Porch Pickers "Ridin' on the Dragon" also Link Wray's "Walkin' Bulldog" even though it isn't exactly a biker song, when it comes up on my playlist my throttle seems to twist a bit more.
