Older Pull Behind MC Trailer

I purchased an older model trailer (manufacture info gone) from a friend and put quite a bit of upgrade work and materials into it. After all is said and done I really do not need it. So.... I would like to sell it. I had all the cracks and stress areas professionally repaired. No leaks. Replace the...

Re: Roaring Heat Rash!!

Hello all: Sorry for the late reply. I just returned from a repeat of 1,144 mile trip that started this thread. I did use medicated powder, changed from jeans to a breathable material and installed a set of Air Wings on the bike. That combination worked! At least for this ride. I also used the sheep...

Re: Roaring Heat Rash!!

Thanks so much guys... all good advise. I am prone to a fungus that develops between my scrotum and checks of my butt. Even working around the house, if I sweat anywhere it will be in this area. My pants look like I sat in a pool of water. (: The rash turns really red and burns at the touch when bat...

Roaring Heat Rash!!

Evening all: Just returned from a 1,100 mile road trip and about half of that was during a 11 hour run through 100+ degrees temps and then add the road heat. Needless to say, this resulted in a roaring case of heat rash. Said all that to say this - any suggestions as to a set pad or something to all...

Sirius XM

I am looking at adding a Sirius XM system to my 1800 but don't won't or need a new one. Does anyone on the forum have one sitting on the shelf you would like to get rid of? Interested in purchasing....

Weather proofing trailer

Hi everyone: I recently bought an older model pull-behind trailer and need to replace the weather seal between the top and bottom sections. The attached picture shows the seal that came on it. I don't know if this is the correct one because the previous owner used a lot of rubber and glue trying to ...

Re: Trailer Repair and Identification

Well here we go! Sanded the trailer frame and found a manufacture plate the previous owner had painted over. Most of the letters were faded beyond readable but the year of manufacture is 1986. Quite old. I took it to a boat repair business in town and, lo and behold, it is not fiberglass but plastic...

Re: Trailer Repair and Identification

Thanks guys I was in hopes that the fix would not be that difficult. But, alas, it might be. I am going to try and find a repair shop in town and see what a professional repair job might cost. If it is near the price of the car top i might opt for that service. James Thanks for the condolences for t...

Trailer Repair and Identification

Hello All: I purchased an older trailer (see pictures) from the widow of a very good friend of mine who was killed on his Gold Wing a couple months ago. She knows nothing about the trailer except that is has sat under the Oak trees for several years. Can anyone identify the manufacturer/brand name? ...

Yes. Financed with the intention of paying it off within six months. I will surely follow up on cancelling the payment through the lender.
Thanks

Re: (PMA) Priority Maintenance Agreement

My fault for not taking the time to read the fine print prior to signing. I’ll suck that one up. Yes, I know what the contract covers.

Re: (PMA) Priority Maintenance Agreement

I read the fine print on the dealers extended service contract. I can’t cancel it so I am locked in. At least I will get the value of service back.
I am still trying to cancel the five year maintenance agreement.
Thanks for the reply. Love and learn I guess.

Re: (PMA) Priority Maintenance Agreement

Thanks Mike and others: Looking to canceling the extended warranty. I know better than buy one of these things however at the same time there might be a totally out of the ordinary repair not expected. I don't remember ever buying an extended warranty on any of my vehicles and managed just fine. So,...

Re: (PMA) Priority Maintenance Agreement

Thanks to all so far... Yep! I really don't know why I purchased both policies in the heat of buying the bike. My bad and I wanted opinions as to the dependability of the bikes over the five year period. My previous bike was an '05 with 75,000. There were two previous owners, one used the bike in Ir...

(PMA) Priority Maintenance Agreement

Hey guys: I purchased a new out of the box 2016 GL1800 last September. Along with the purchase, taxes, and title transfer fees on and on, I also purchased a 60 month mechanical protection policy ($1334) and a 36 month priority maintenance policy ($2199). I normally don't do this on new stuff but at ...

WANTED - Jumper for gl1800 Fog Light

I was given a fog light kit for my gl1800. I did not find the jumper that keeps the lights on when the headlight is in high beam mode.
Does anyone have one you will be willing to part with? Asking price plus shipping to 32024.

Re: Fog Light Harness

Yes you did build a harness. In my ignorance to the wiring on the Goldwing I proceeded to burn it up. Got so hot couldn't hold it. My fault. Learned a lesson. Subsequently traded the 2005 on a new out of box 2016. Matte silver finish looks really great. I insisted on a trailer hitch and wiring on th...

Fog Light Harness

Hello all: Woe is me!! I installed a 2003 fog light kit onto my 2016 a couple days ago. Everything went as instructed UNTIL i got to the last step in the instruction manual. It said to find the conector between the fog light switch to the power supply harness coming from the bike (2016). Could be fo...
