I have to wonder if this would work on the GL1500.
Nope. Totally different design.
I kind of figured as much, but could always hope.

Re: Fourth Annual GoldwingDocs Gathering - Aug 19-23 2020

Does anyone have an approximate number of miles that we traveled from Wednesday afternoon until our last ride Saturday? Doing the math, (which I basely suck at) I only get 389 miles. Does that sound close to right? I came up with 914 miles in our " ventures ". Jeff, does that include traveling from...

Alan and I left at 8:45am and split off at Chillicothe. I made it home at 1:45. Total trip for me was 1366 miles. I'm wore out! My a$$, upper back and jaw hurts like h3ll. Re: MICE ARE DRIVING ME CRAZY

I found a nest on my engine block a week ago. Don't remember seeing anything when I changed my alternator back in March, or when I did it after last years Gathering in September. Praying the I find only minimal damage as I tear it apart more this weekend.

Re: How to install the GL1500 shifter brace

Hello, First post! I literally just purchased a 99 gl1500A and discovered it does have a shifter brace installed, yet no bolt... I was hoping someone could tell me what bolt I should pick up. I called Cyclemax and they do not sell the bolt without the kit (understandably). I did a parts fiche searc...

Hi all, I've attended all of the Goldwing Doc rides and have really enjoyed both the rides and time with friends but, unfortunately, due to Covid 19 I won't be able to make it this year. Border is still closed and with the situation in the US I am not even sure we will be able to spend the winter i...

It might be a good idea for those who want to attend and are looking for a roomIe to post that info. I know that Corkster52 is looking for someone to share a room. There are probably others.
Well Al, Corky has got one now! My dad isn't coming. I think he's starting to feel his age.

Re: This is the most difficult bike I have ever worked on.

Not sure where to post this so I flipped a coin. Last month I picked up a 2000 se with side car. I rode for a week or so just to get a feel for the bike and to see if there are any major things raises its ugly head. runs smooth, has the typical idle surge, 750 - 1k till warmed up, late engage...

Re: Problem fitting Wing Gear Trunk Lid Organizer

I have the same one. Had to install the center 2 screws first, but I kind of left them loose at first. I also bought the saddle bag liners as well. Talk about a pain to install  Because the studs for the reflectors aren't very long, the acorn nuts wouldn't go back on. Had to buy some brass fer...

Back in 81 (at 23yo), I almost bought one new, instead, I bought an 81 Datsun PU. Waited till I turned 50 before I got an 84 Honda VF500C to learn on (Oh what a money pit that turned out to be).

Re: This is the most difficult bike I have ever worked on.

Thanks, this helps add to the list of "what not to buy". I know these are all great bikes, but sometimes don't you just want to go buy a ultra simple 650cc naked retro bike that you can see every part on it standing 6 feet away? A bike where the most exotic tool you need is an Allen wrench? I know,...

Re: Pros and cons of back off brake unit

I installed the XP last spring, when I installed all LED lighting (half my instrument cluster was out, so...). Opted for mode 1, on all brake lights. I don't have a spoiler to opt for just that brake light. Mounted mine under the seat, where I tapped into the brake wire.

This is something that could be used with any input!

If you have a parts list that you used, that would be great.
