I have a 2001 1800 the has been converted to a trike by Mototrike. It has recently refused to go into overdrive. All of the other gears work great except for o/d. Any ideas?

When I took my Gold Wing out the other day, it would not shift into, and stay in overdrive. I do have a trike, so it is a heel/toe shifter. Any ideas how to fix this?

Trunk Warning Light
I have a 2001 GL1800, that the Trunk Open Warning Light keeps flashing on the display. I have tried removing the trunk lock assembly and cleaning it up, tried checking to see if all of the wires were connected under the trunk and seat, but I have had no luck. The bike had been converted to a trike, ...

I figured it out, thank you. You have to remove the whole foot rest and shifter assembly by removing the two Allen head screws right above it.

Heel/toe shift
I just purchased a 2001 Goldwing with an aftermarket heel/toe shift installed. The heel/toe shift is really loose at the pivot, and I think that it is affecting my shifting. The pivot is a chrome, dome with two holes on opposite sides of the dome. I have tried to tighten, and loosen it using the two...

Two questions
I recently purchased a used 2001 Goldwing, and I have a couple of questions. First the Owner's Manual states that there is an Aux wite under the left glove box, but I cannot find it. Can anyone give me any hints? Also, when I press the CBButton on my radio, nothing happens. Any clues on this? Thank ...

Rear Brakes
Is the rear brake caliper supposed to float on its mounts when installed, or is it supposed to mount solidly and not move at all. Looking at mine, the mounting bolts are tight, but the whole caliper assembly kind of floats in position. I hope that I am making my question clear.

Re: Im not complaining....just sayin!
I had the same problem with my speedometer this year, and it turned out to be the transmitter at the end of the speedometer cable on the front wheel hub. It did not take too long to change and cost about $70.00.

My 1992 Wing has a cassette tape deck, so I bought an adapter that goes in the cassette slot and plugs into the iPod. They are about $10.00 at Walmart.

Cruise Control Intermittent
The cruise control on my 1992 Gold Wing works intermittently. I was told last year that it might be the speedometer cable. I had to change the speedometer cable and transmitter on the front wheel this year because of a jumpy speedometer. The cruise control is still intermittent. The neutral light an...

I am getting about 25mpg, which I understand is very poor for a Gold Wing. I just bought the bike last year, and have been getting input on the gas smell every time I group ride.
