Re: Acrylic vs Polycarbonate windshields

I am pretty sure the OEM shield on my 1800 was polycarbonate. I now have an after market acrylic one. It is three years old and still looks like new, I take great care about cleaning it so as not to scratch. Use plain water on micro fiber towel, just lay across windshield to let bugs and bird doo so...

Re: Trailer battery to charge phones, etc...

What I use is a portable battery jump starter, can be charged while riding thru a power port on bike. Can also be charge from a standard 120v outlet. Will jump start bike or charge any device thru USB ports https://www.walmart.com/ip/Schumacher-800-Amp-Li-Ion-Jump-Starter-with-USB-Ports-and-LCD-Disp...

Re: Question about windshield height

I see no petroleum distillates listed in the ingredients of pledge: The second listed ingredient (therefore the 2nd largest constituent) of Pledge is "isoparaffin" which is a petroleum distillate. The advice not to use it doesn't come from me but the manufacturers of polycarbonate sheeting, the adv...

Re: Question about windshield height

ArmorAll is fine, but Pledge contains petroleum distillates and should not be used on polycarbonate. Nice job, I guess if you're into lighting displays. It will probably make children run in fear.

Be aware the video in that thread is for 01-05 models. 06-10 you do not remove the speaker grilles.
My bad, sorry about that.

I would say it needs a trailer plate. It hooks behind a vehicle and trails it, making it a trailer whether it has 1 wheel or 100.

Re: silicate free antifreeze

How much is the Prestone 50/50 pre-diluted with Cor-Guard per gallon? It can't possibly be inexpensive enough to keep me from using what I already know works and I know will not damage the internal workings of the Gold Wing cooling system. Prestone 50/50 : $8.88 a gallon at Walmart, Honda HP 50/50:...

Re: Trailer Hitches

You could check with trike builders and get a used take-off for less than half of the price of a new one. My brother bought one from KD cycle last fall, there was nothing wrong with it and got everything needed for the install. https://www.ebay.com/sch/m.html?_nkw=&_armrs=1&_from=&_ssn=kdcycleparts&...

Re: Puncture sealant in trailer tires?

Right, got it, as far as I know, most all Bushtec trailer tires use tubes, sure if mounted assemblies are the same price as unmounted tires, why bother demounting and remounting, I would just chuck those also.. Right you are, looked up what trailer and tires you are talking about and they do indeed...

Re: Puncture sealant in trailer tires?

As trailer tires already mounted on rims are almost the same price as the tires alone, and mounting costs, I would think that this type of substance could be of benefit. One of the things most aggravating is a flat on a trailer tire out in the middle of nowhere, and discovering you do not have a ja...

Re: Avon Trike tyre

My brother ran one of these on his Goldwing trike. The tire had 11k on it when he removed it, he was going on a 5k trip out west and wanted a fresh tire to start trip. I then put it on my 2 wheel wing and rode the remainder of the year. I installed a new tire before the next spring, but the Avon tri...
