Re: LED Headlights

I read a article that described how and what to buy to replace the headlights on a 2000 1500A to LED ... well I cant find it... hoping for some help in finding it... I believe it was Wing Admin who did a review.... I find it frustrating knowing what you want to find and cant.... duh ... So I would ...

Re: Electrical Connection LED Headlight

There's nothing currently wrong with my stock lights and the added fog/drl lights I added in 2018. They are still working great. My wife said she was worried about other seeing me at night, when I'm riding home from work. She saw me one time in passing when she was heading in to work and I was a lit...

That's what I was thinking. Something happened and now the bike thinks it is in gear before starting.

Re: Pinlock Sun-Reactive Sunshield Review

No, it doesn't. But I was thinking a universal setup would provide for that. Perhaps a way to install the pins first. I don't think there is such a setup. It also looks like the only Bilt brand helmets that have pinlock ready shields are for the Force and Power helmets. https://www.cyclegear.com/ge...

Re: west coast

Search for "seat bag" or "tail bag" and begin searching for something that might be useful. This is strapped to the rear seat area; used in conjunction with saddlebag space. I did a week-long ride with only the items I had in the two saddle-bags and trunk. Find my earlier post and find the link for...

Re: Pinlock Sun-Reactive Sunshield Review

This really seems like the cat's meow. However, I see they don't offer it for Bilt helmets that are sold through Cycle Gear. I posted an inquiry on the Pinlock site asking if they offer a universal kit, but I don't expect a reply until at least tomorrow. Annnd I think I know what their answer will ...

Re: Shoei Neotec II Helmet - First Impressions

Get a pinlock shield. The fogging issue will be a thing of the past. My drop down tinted visor still fogs up, but I just raise that back up and out of the way. [/quote] I believe the helmet came with a pin lock clear shield. But the instructions were not great and the benefits were not clear to me....

Re: Shoei Neotec II Helmet - First Impressions

This thread was linked in the monthly email update and timely. I just tried a Neotec II this weekend and wear glasses. I had read that they added a glasses channel in the new version 2 Neotec but neither me nor the dealer could find it. My old HJC Symax has a glasses channel and is nice. Does anyon...

Re: Goldwing Wannabes

If the paint is stock I would think it shouldn't be too hard to determine the year model. Just poking around a little it doesn't look like even the 2010 was offered in any blue color to be a hold over and sold in 2011 as a 2011. From what I can find, the only year "Illusion Blue" was offered was 200...

Re: How fast is fast?

I held on to a Hayabusa for dear life for 8 years. Sometimes I even just rode it, but many times was just holding on for dear life. 170mph + before I ran outta road. I would've liked to have gone faster. I shouldn't have been going that fast where I was and when I looked back realized how lucky I wa...

(1) Pick a corporation, sign up for their rewards program, stay with them. You get your choice of pricing levels, and with a smart-phone or a computer, getting a reservation is easy. After so many stays, you'll get enough points to pay for a room or two. Unfortunately, it can take a few weeks befor...

Take a look at Madstad. I don’t have one yet myself. When it comes time to replace my shield and possibly even sooner I’ll go with a Madtstad.

In about 6 months I'll have to change my age group to the biggest one.

C-dub, like you I've come to the determination that a trailer is a must. Our Summer trip found us way (WAY) overloaded. Also, based on your avatar, I'm assuming you're an LEO. If that's the case, did you get a discount from Klim? If not, go to klim.com, and fill out the application in their VIP sec...

It might have been this thread or maybe another one, but I ended up going with Mick-O-Pegs. I contacted them through e-mail and we had a back and forth a few times. I also completed their questionnaire on their website. Then we talked on the phone a couple of times. I wanted a powder coated black se...

Re: What are you planning for upgrades in 2020?

I bought a pair of Klim Outlander GTX boots a few days ago. Just about the only negatives I read about ahead of time are around the tongue being too rigid and some people experienced pressure points on one or more spots that were apparently too uncomfortable to attempt to work through during a break...

What are you planning for upgrades in 2020?

I wasn't sure where to place this since it isn't an actual product review, but will be all about new things for the new year. After another trip without a trailer, I think my wife is a little more on board with getting with getting one. Probably not a bunkhouse type setup, but maybe just a small one...

Yup, VHB is the stuff. I use it ALL the time - it basically stays put no matter what, and fastens things permanently - unless you want to remove it, in which case it is possible, with no goo or adhesive left behind. Love it! https://www.amazon.com/3M-Heavy-Mounting-width-length/dp/B007Y7H56E/ref=sr...

Re: Hot weather vs cold weather

I'm not the most knowledgeable person for this topic, but here's what little I do know. The 1500 is carburated, right? I think this means it is affected by temperature more than the fuel injected models like my 1800. For combustion engines in general, when it is cold they make more horsepower. I can...
