Re: Corbin seat for sale ... GL1500 (and others?)

I agree with all the other posts, these are by far the most comfortable seats out there. Question for the OP, are you sliding forward when you come to a stop? It sounds silly but I thought mine was too wide as well, however if I slide forward when stopping, you actually sit a little lower, I have a ...

You know, I didn't even think to search by the part number - sometimes the obvious isn't so obvious! Thanks for finding it MikeB, hopefully it will save a bunch of us some money.

Have you looked at Superbrightleds/com ? Better to deal with a reputable company instead of and unknown.

I got that part number through a post on this forum, actually from what I remember when I pulled my rear tire off they should fit just fine.

Re: Vibration from clutch handle

I would think you would feel a warped plate when you release the clutch and the plates and linings would start to get compressed.

Re: Vibration from clutch handle

It's a hydraulic clutch so the lever is isolated from the engine, maybe you're feeling some vibration by the lever making contact with the handlebars? I don't know, all I know is I hate trying to chase down vibrations and the like.

Re: Replacing Driveshaft U Joint on 98 Wing

If you replace the cushions in the rear wheel, order a complete set from Honda for about $45 - and it includes the aluminum pieces. I have ordered them but not yet installed them, if you can wait, I can get the Honda part number. You could also search as I found the information somewhere in this for...

Which manuals?

When I bought my bike, a 1990, it already came with a Clymers manual. I'm finding that it seems to leave some information out, or it says to see the dealer. I am looking at some of the factory service manuals and am finding different ones. There are the black covered versions 61MT200-AH or one with ...

Re: Dropped bike and now it runs poorly

Turns out it was fouled plugs. When I started thinking about it, the fact that my bike will sometimes put out a puff of smoke if left on the side stand for a few days got me thinking. When it fell over, it went past the roll bars and really laid down. That allowed oil to flow into the left valve cov...

Re: Dropped bike and now it runs poorly

Update: I pulled the carbs off today and have not found any possible reason for the low idle. The rattling noise only happens around 500 rpm, at normal idle speed it's fine. The orange stripped hose that goes between the intakes under the carb is fine, as are the rest of the vacuum hoses at least as...

Re: GL 1500 low idle and rough running

Acts just like mine. Last time it ran this way it was the vacuum line that runs between the two carbs, I think it's marked with an orange stripe. Be warned though it's a job that takes time as they built the bike around that little hose.

Dropped bike and now it runs poorly

As the title states, I went to stand the bike on the side stand and didn't realize it was pulled up, talk about a DUH! moment. Anyway, I noticed it was running a little odd, like the carbs were flooded or something and there was a slight bog. I didn't think too much about it since it was early morni...

I glued mine shut with hot melt glue, don't ride 2 up so they would never get used anyway - prevented the door from being lost and is reversible if I ever decide to fix it.
