Re: Poor radio Reception ???? and static

How do they come off the base, never had that apart yet, But i think you maybe right about the Antenna, Thought about ordering one of the $10.00 ones off e bay to see if it would help, leave the old one there and install one under the set or something.

Congrats on the new wing, These bikes ride and act differently than any other bike out there, i come off a VTX to the wing, you will have to grow in to it, there heavy, top heavy etc, may take a bit to get used to

Re: Low Fuel Switch 1989 Gl1500

Bluewaterhooker0, you are correct, what i meant to say is , light will come on for a few seconds when key is turned then goes off, there is a procedure in the manual to verify if is the sensor has failed, I believe you ground the white wire on the top of the sending unit, if light illuminates , but ...

Re: Low Fuel Switch 1989 Gl1500

Re: Rebuilding Forks / Progressive Springs / Timing Blelts

You will need to make a compressor to compress spring, so nut can be reinstalled, Belts, you should have no problem, if you don't have schrader valves, would be a good time to install, i did a little right up a month ago on this subject

Re: fuel indicator accuracy

Correct me if i'am wrong but , one of the posts says 3.7 gallons for 1/2 a tank When in fact 3.7Gallons is 14 Litres, our wings holds 23 litres, but taking in to consideration the there was mention of keeping 1 Gallon in reserve equals 3.78L, But don't you want to know what is in in the tank ??, I s...

Re: silicon hoses vs rubber ones which is best on a 1989 1500 wing??

By far silicone hoses are better and last longer, but they are harder to keep tight, better if you could use a spring clamp instead of a regular hose clamp

Re: Anti dive on front fork

Well thought i could compress the spring on the bike with my brute muscle, that was a no go, had to take off forks, and build a compressor, after almost ruining a nut got it back to together, except, put 13 oz of oil in each fork, i have about 14" of air gap, Should it be 16.1", depends on what post...
