I think one of the problem when buying a older bike is you have to be able to tinker you're self, i dont mean replacing engines etc, but removing pipes to replace exhaust gaskets etc, 5 yrs ago i bought a 91 with 132000 km's on it, the owner was one of those guys that like to put on stickers, cheap ...

Yup use the chisel and hammer method, get a new plug, the reason this happens is someone probably did not put a little oil on the o ring, if you do not the o ring will seize the plug ,same thing that happens to a oil filter, always use you're finger and wipe a little oil on the oring

Harbor freight has a kit of screw drivers in a plastic case, they are in fact JIS screwdrivers, most people don't know the difference, but there is a difference, when you put a JIS screwdriver into a JIS screw instead of a phillips you will know the difference, they really grip , not like a phillips...

No need to buy different caps, just drill and tap to 1/8" NPT and go to tire palce and get adapters and screw in, i wrote a post on this a few months ago

You will not be dissapointed with the purchase, i have a 91 which i love, also have a 2003 VTX 1300, which i had before the goldwing, My poor VTX sits in the garage, i never ride it since i got the goldwing, maybe a new owner in its future. still love the VTX but it is just not the same as a goldwin...

a year ago i installed a Lactrical which ran for a few months and it died, i returned it and was sent a DB electrical, the Lactrical alternators are hard to find now for some reason, DB seems the common one now , and the price is right, i have a friend that has Compu fires but seems to replace them ...

bellboy40 , so according to the elec print, i think i have it right by putting bat voltage to both of the terminals where the plug goes, acting like a bat voltage sense, and large lug back to bat

Could you use a drill to spin it, you may net get the full voltage out of it, But you could tell if it is working, wonder what RPM it spins at when on the bike ??

I believe mine is an original vintage 91, Is it worth $125 u.s plus $25 u.s shipping when i can buy a DB 90 amp for like $175 Canadian ????
