Re: Strange side effect of LED dash conversion???

Low fuel light is controlled by a thermister in the tank, as the fuel level drops and as the thermister heats up the resistance decreases causing the light on the dash to illuminate

Re: Fork Oil Change

If you dont have schrader valves, getting the spring compressed and installing the cap is not as easy as it sounds, i ended up removing the forks to building a compressor to reinstall the nut, The nuts are Aluminum and strip easy

Re: LAtrical

Would be interested to see if it works, sounds like i had the same issue, everything checks out, guessing the regulator, still have old alternator, hate to spend a bunch of money and not have it work and not worth spending $150 on rebuild when you can get a 90 amp for less.

Re: Another "my radio is dying" thread

Has anyone come up with a good looking alternative to the OEM radio, That you don't have to be a master tin smith or an electronics engineer to figure out, would also like the search button to work on the left hand grip, and at a good price, Dont want to spend $1000 to do it

How do they come off the base, never had that apart yet, But i think you maybe right about the Antenna, Thought about ordering one of the $10.00 ones off e bay to see if it would help, leave the old one there and install one under the set or something.

Re: Low Fuel Switch 1989 Gl1500

Bluewaterhooker0, you are correct, what i meant to say is , light will come on for a few seconds when key is turned then goes off, there is a procedure in the manual to verify if is the sensor has failed, I believe you ground the white wire on the top of the sending unit, if light illuminates , but ...

Re: Low Fuel Switch 1989 Gl1500

Re: Rebuilding Forks / Progressive Springs / Timing Blelts

You will need to make a compressor to compress spring, so nut can be reinstalled, Belts, you should have no problem, if you don't have schrader valves, would be a good time to install, i did a little right up a month ago on this subject

Correct me if i'am wrong but , one of the posts says 3.7 gallons for 1/2 a tank When in fact 3.7Gallons is 14 Litres, our wings holds 23 litres, but taking in to consideration the there was mention of keeping 1 Gallon in reserve equals 3.78L, But don't you want to know what is in in the tank ??, I s...
