Re: Dead bike - sort of

Have a problem with my 2012 Deluxe, bugger won't start! Been on trickle charger for a couple of months, went to start it and just got a click which seems to be coming from behind the left hand box. I've removed the plugs and moved it back and forth in 2nd to see if the starter had stuck, but made n...

Re: Ice Coolant

I used something similar in my 68 396 SS Chevelle. Its supposed to help with heat transfer. But if you find as it gets a little warmer your temp is still fluctuating. Verify that your radiator cap will hold pressure.

Re: Any dual sport riders here?

I am seriously thinking of looking for a BMW GSA later this year. I do heavy touring with my wing and dont know how many times I have passed an interesting dirt road and wistfully thought, wish I could go down that road. I backpack in the sierras so camping out with an adventure bike off the beaten ...

no snow but cool temps here so I rode on the first day of spring and yesterday I'd like to pick up a BMW GSA later this year. Yours is an 2011 air cooled correct? Yes, the switch. I wasn't familiar with the reset button. I will check that out also. thanx from my 06 manual... You can try rebooting the system by disconnecting/reconnecting the battey - terminal. But if you've had the batt disconnect since this problem started. We know that wont work. Try this.....

Re: Year-round E15 Ethanol being pushed by EPA

USDA may have deleted it, but, luckily, there are groups who want it to be public. Click on this: https://farm.ewg.org/addrsearch.php?search_input_text=grassley Chuck is there, along with his son Robin and grandson Pat. Pat, by the way is a member of the Iowa legislature. The plan is that when Chuc...

When you say restart do you mean cycling the ignition switch? There is a reset switch on my 06 nav unit in the trunk. I'm guessing your 12 has one as well.

Re: Year-round E15 Ethanol being pushed by EPA

Iowa Congressman Chuck Grassley and his son and grandson have received more that $1.5 MILLION from the federal farm subsidy program. Might be a clue as to why the rest of us are stuck buying crapgas. If you had as much money as the ethanol lobby, you could afford to buy your own personal member of ...

I recently got a 2012 wing. My XM cuts-out, when I put it into the garage. Plus, I was supposed to get 3 free months; XM shut it down after 3 weeks.
Must of been the super fine print? ;)

Just upgraded my 06 to Traxxion dynamics rear shock and spring. My old set up sagged a touch over three inches just taking it off the center stand now it is a smidgen under two. No more saggy feeling. :D You may want to talk to Traxxion and see what they suggest for your style of riding.

Cruise control not working. Also reverse light comes on for a half a second then goes to nuteral. The reverse light is supposed to do that, bulb check, along with some other lights when you turn the switch on. Cruise not working is normally one of the switches on the brakes or clutch. Asphaltmaniac, you are right about getting the service manual! The more I do on this bike the more I realize just how much I need the "Honda" manual. Thanks Money well spent....There are illustrated pages in section 1. I use them to ensure that everything goes back exactly as the factory intended.
