Re: GL1800A Not starting, No Codes

It starts just fine when warm. So fuel system troubleshooting in my 06 manual. Engine cranks but wont start. (No DTC and MIL blinking) One of the things you can check, is whether the Intake Air control Valve is acting up. Sticking on occasion? It has a gasket and if perhaps its leaking there may be ...

Why not one for my aging wing? I also had a small problem that also sorta pushed me in that direction. It would on totally cold ...

Have you pulled the seat off and checked all connectors for corrosion? I suspect you have current leaking from one circuit to another.

Re: 2009 alternator drive gear

What were your symptoms ??? Hi Greg. I could hear a growling rumbling noise only when I came to a stop. Not all that loud but enough to irritate me. Ha! So listening carefully around while it idled it was obvious the noise was coming from in front of the alternator. The mechanic at Honda said yep t...

Re: Blinking Reverse Light

I had discovered tarnished fuses, also and found a product that cleaned the entire fuse box. The product is used in the Air Conditioning world to clean the outside Condensers. It is called Coil Rite and it is sold in 1 Gallon Containers. This product is also good to spray on the engine and anywhere...

Re: 2009 alternator drive gear

It went in my 06 at approx 190000 miles. I saved a ton of cash by stripping the bike myself, leaving the engine in the frame for Honda to pull and do their thing. What were your symptoms ??? Hi Greg. Re: Blinking Reverse Light

Is the fuse blown or perhaps in your case the fuse is tarnished or crusty. On my 06 its a 15 amp at the bottom Left. I pulled it and switched the ignition on and hit the reverse button and was rewarded with a rapidly flashing reverse light... :D Then I noticed the contacts on the fuse looked a littl...

If you read through the replies you'd see he hadn't. Yes I did see that. But he did ask about over filling the brake reservoir so Im going to assume it happened. Ya know what happens when you assume..... Yes he mistakenly thought he 'might' have and thus the original question regarding overfilling ...

Re: Off-road Rally Goldwings

I saw that video just a week ago when it popped up in a Google search. I was impressed. I do think the gear ratio and torque of a GL1100 would work pretty well off-road. In my much younger years I had a 250cc Suzuki that had knobby tires and tall suspension, but was still street legal. I took it of...

Never tried the sheepskin..But many years ago I experienced saddle burn (heat rash) after a brutally hot and humid day sitting in bumper to bumper traffic on the NY southern state parkway. I took an old towel 045.JPG and two bungees and WA-LA no more burn at all since then. I have ridden 100's of th...
