Re: Fog lights not working

Tail lights are working. High beams are NOT on.
I think they are Honda, but I don't know for sure. Just got the bike in May of this year. and they were on it when I got it. There is cowling around them, if that helps.

Next idea?

Fog lights not working

2010 GL 1800. The fog lights were working just fine, then a couple days ago I tried them and they wouldn't come on. I don't see any fuse that covers that. The switch feels normal.
Is there a relay or something else I should be checking?

Thanks for any help.

How hard can it be???

I've been thinking of making my own camper. I figure getting something like a jet ski trailer for the base. Then doing either a coffin camper or some kind of a pop up camper. How hard can it be? (one of my favorite sayings) That's a question that has frequently gotten me into more than I can handle....

Re: New goldwing owner need some help

I've got a 2010, WITHOUT the Navi. My buttons are SETUP, INFO, TRIP, DIM. I've tried several times, using the manual, and can't seem to get the greeting changed.
Obviously I'm missing something here. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks so much. Obviously, I don't know much about my trike. But I'm learning. Hopefully not the hard way!

Relays?

I recently traded my 96 GL1500 for a 2010 GL1800. I had purchased a couple of relays for the 96. Does the 1800 use the same relays? If not, should I buy something to carry??

Hope to see some of you in Sturgis this year. I'll be the one on the Canary Yellow Trike.

Thanks,
Steven

Glitches on GL 1800's ??

I've got a 1500, and am thinking about upgrading to the 1800. I have learned so much on this forum, I can't begin to say thank you enough. As we all know, the 1500 has lots of things that can/will go wrong. Not to mention all of the "not so well known" stuff that needs to be done on a regular basis....

Re: Rusk, TX to Scottsdale, AZ

Enjoy your trip. I will be watching to see if you get any takers. But going solo is good, too. Ron in AZ I took a little ride yesterday, about 300 miles. About half of it was solo. And you are right. Solo is as good as with a group. I've gotten my route planned out. It'll include about 150 miles of...

Rusk, TX to Scottsdale, AZ

Taking a little trip from Rusk, TX to Scottsdale, AZ. Leaving on or about April 22. Returning on or about April 28. If you'd like to ride along, drop me a line. I'll ride either slab or state routes, which ever you prefer. Will NOT be camping along the way.

Re: How to replace your air filter

While this article was tremendously helpful. It would have been even more helpful had you mentioned the "cruise and sub air filters" also. I just happen to stumble across these other filters while scanning other things I might do. It would have been a lot easier to do the other filters at the same t...

Re: Back rest for 96 GL1500 Free

I have a driver back rest for a 96 GL1500 that I'm not using. If anyone has need of it, stop by and pick it up. I am not asking anything for it. If you feel that you can't take it without something in return..... Hmm can't think of anything I need. It's not in perfect condition. I live in Rusk, Tex...

Re: Back rest for 96 GL1500 Free

I'd be willing to ship it. It's so bulky, it'll be a while before I can find a box the right size. If you will send me an address, I'll get it together and check with the Post office to see what the cost would be.

Re: How to install Dyna Beads in your tires

How about just buying a much longer tube? That way you could get all, or most, of the beads in the tube before shooting in the air. Just a thought.

Happy Trails.

Don't believe it when they tell you....

Recently bought a 96 GL1500 trike. So, the guy says, "Yeah, I changed the oil, oil filter, and air filter recently". Why do I insist on believing someone that is trying to sell something???? That was about a month ago. This picture is from today. Do you think that this filter was recently changed? L...

Re: Rattles and squeaks on a 96

I had rattles on mine gl1500 trike. turned out to be the drive shaft not running true. causing vibrations mainly around the fairing. Interesting you should mention that. I have an appointment next Wednesday, at Motor Trike, to have them check out my conversion. The previous owner had the bike for 1...

Re: Rattles and squeaks on a 96

Even my 88 use to rattle and squeak everywhere. I solved most of them with small pieces of the fuzzy side of the Velcro stuff. Remove any cover and inspect the edges closely..you will see where it rubs the other plastic...Clean it with alcohol and attach a inch long piece there. My trunk lid has 6 p...

Re: Please tell who or what made you buy a Goldwing

It all started back in 65. My first bike was a Sport 50. I'm guessing about 15 bikes later I got my first, new to me, 96 Goldwing SE Trike. Two main reasons for this bike, First: I've lost too much muscle in my old age to hold up anything of any size, if it started to tilt. Second: My wife was terri...

Rattles and squeaks on a 96

This is my first wing, and my first trike. I've learned so much from the many posts on this forum. My question, this time, do most of the wings/trikes have lots of rattles and squeaks? Most of mine seem to be coming from the front area. Oh yeah, one more. I know that Honda runs on RPMs. Mine is runn...

Thank you all for clearing up this for me. It does have the adjustable rear foot boards.

Re: How to Rebuild Timing Belt Idlers

Would it be any easier if you just drilled out the old, instead of cutting it off then drilling? Just wondering. I have a drill press, but not anything thin enough to get between.
