Re: Ltd/SEi specs

Yes, they look like the standard 1200 specs. I'm not entirely surprised the FI models were the same, but many reports state how much more 'powerful' the FI versions feel. Oh well.

Thanks for getting back to me on that.

Ltd/SEi specs

Does anyone have the official figures for the power and torque output of the fuel injected models? I have the figures for the carbureted ones, but see multiple reports of the FI versions having noticeably more 'oomph', but I cannot find any figures to back this up. Were there any figures published t...

Re: iPhone damage when used while riding

I have no need to worry about a "smart" phone which is the size of a license plate and does every function from A to Z......I use a "dumb"(flip)phone that fits nicely in my shirt pocket and is not subject to damage by vibration. One could throw this phone against a wall and not ...

Re: iPhone damage when used while riding

First of all, it’s worth re-iterating that this potential problem is not limited to iPhones and any modern mobile phone with fancy image stabilising cameras is susceptible to vibration damage. Apple are just the first manufacturer to mention this. Secondly, their announcement was totally vague with ...

Re: BIG DUMMY!!

One of my riding buddies had a GL1100 with the baffles removed from the exhaust - kinda loud. One of his favorite things to do was to hit the kill switch for a few seconds, and of course when he switched it back on he got a resounding "BANG!" That's possibly how he got the baffles out in ...

Re: BIG DUMMY!!

Best solution is to be found on several modern bikes (including Hondas). The combined kill/starter switch. A single rocker switch on the RH bar whose middle position is run, the forward/up position is 'kill' and the lower/bottom position is non latching and is the starter button. 100% solution as yo...

Re: GL1800 rear end

Just found out that the Rune wheel will fit the Wing and looks like the mount/offset remained the same. But...

Still a question of any changes to the 1800 Swing-arm during that model's run?

GL1800 rear end

A couple of questions I hope the knowledgeable can answer. Did the 1800's Swing-Arm change at all until the all new 2018 model? Or did it basically remain the same for all the 1800s? Likewise the Final Drive Unit wheel mount. They are all 5 stud mounting, but did the spec stay the same the whole tim...

Re: Honda-commissioned Custom 2019 GL1800

Is it just me that simply wants a new Valkyrie. Based on the new Wing, but naked, styled more like the original Valk.

WTB: GL1200 parts

Re: Stuffing a 1500 rear end in a 1200....

Looking around for info on this 1500 rear end onto 1200 conversion (nothing to do with the darkside) I have some questions that I hope others who have done it themselves (or just know) could answer. I have read elsewhere that in order to fit the 1500 F inal D rive U nit onto the 1200 S wing A rm, th...
