Re: Turn signal???

GoldwingrGreg was absolutely right; "appearances" of fuses can be deceiving! There was a bad fuse; problem resolved! Thank you so much Greg.

Turn signal???

On a recent trip, my turn signals quit working. I then noticed radio, accessory (lighter)plug and camera system I added wasn't working. The accessory plug and camera system has worked for a long time. Everything else (Lights, horn, cruise, etc) that I have checked works fine and fuses all appear to ...

Re: Free motorcycle routes

Hi Daleah; thank you so much. I'm pretty flexible. I do love the mountains but that's not a requirement. Due to my schedule, 150-300 miles (round trip) is an easy day ride for me. I can normally fit a 2-day trip in during the week so 500-600 miles works good. Any recommendations are appreciated. Gary

Thank you Soupcat. "To blessed to be stressed" was also one of my late father's "sayings." Riding is a great opportunity for me to clear my mind :).

Re: Average age ?

I'm 59. I have been riding for about 40 years. At the beginning, I basically what I could afford at the time. I got a Silverwing in I think 2001 and first Goldwing about 2003 and still riding them. I like the comfortable ride and the dependability but, (she says more importantly, lol) my wife does t...

Re: What does every one do for a living?

I'm in my 38th year of ministry and have been pastoring a church for over 30 years. That may explain why I need to RIDEEEEE every time I get a chance, lol.

Re: Camping Crime

I do a lot of tent camping in State Parks, private campgrounds, etc. I've never had any problem whatsoever with anything being taken. I'm planning a West Coast ride, riding alone, next summer and plan to camp every night and have no apprehension at all.

Enjoy your retirement!

Awesome. I live in Delaware now so I'm open to DE, NJ, PA, MD, NY, VT, CT that I can do in 1-3 days. I'm always looking for new riding possibilities ;) .

Thank you,

Re: Bike/Trailer wobble

Yes, mine is a HF too. It has served my purpose well so far. I had planned on taking it in the trailer with me some of the places but I'm thinking the weight on the tongue will serve a dual purpose.

Re: Bike/Trailer wobble

PastoT, thank you for the response. I haven't got to work on the trailer for a few weeks because of time and weather yet but I will be re-distributing the weight. I had plan on only carrying about 50-70 lbs tops inside the trailer but I think I will mount my small generator on the tongue to aid in t...

Bike/Trailer wobble

I'm a bit embarrassed to post after seeing some of the other trailer builds here but I thought the Tripple P (Poor Preacher Project :) ) was complete before I took it for a test ride. I built a "camper" on a Harbor Freight trailer (40 1/2 x 48). I extended the camper out over the fenders a...

Does anyone have any thoughts on whether the swivel ball is an acceptable alternative for the swivel hitch? They are sure a lot cheaper!

Re: Bike runs for 30 seconds and shuts off

Sorry for the delayed post. Well, call me a fool. I ordered the alternator and towed the bike to my mechanic. Turns out, it was in fact just the battery. The battery I bought when the problem first occurred was apparently bad. Anyway, bike was fixed and Gary's happy again. Thanks for your imput. Tim...

Re: Question About Modern Day Camping

I love my Goldwing and I love to camp. I have just built me a camper and am looking forward to trying it out in a week or so. For years, I have just been strapping my tent and air mattress in my backseat and the rest of the gear fits easily in the trunk leaving the saddlebags open. Last year, I adde...
