Group Rides

How do you feel about group rides? Personally I’m not one to lead, follow or wait one anyone. I just can’t do it. I rather you just tell me to meet you at a certain destination so I can ride the way I can enjoy it.

Re: Helmet Quick Connect

While I'm not certain about the holding power of my metal "D" rings, I'm pretty sure I trust them more than the plastic quick connects I've seen. If I were to have a serious off, my helmet staying on and in place is a lot more important than the five seconds I might save putting it on. The one I wa...

Helmet Quick Connect

I have been considering a quick connect helmet strap. Any thoughts on these straps? If you use one, please advise.

What state are you located? I’m in Texas. I’m allowed to run white or amber on ground and sides, non flashing while riding. The rest of the lights are just for fun. https://www.russbrown.com/blog/led-lights-on-motorcycles The other colors make it a cool thing to take to bike shows or just having fu...

Re: The Biker Wave...

In Texas some wave some don’t. Doesn’t matter to me. I wave at all. But I have never seen a wave from a BMW owner. I think their arms are glued to the grips.

That came out nice. Just a quick question...had you looked at hydro-dipping rather than wrapping?
The cost of disassembly helped me choose vinyl.

Very interesting article. Looks really well. I was also curious did they wrap it while the bike is in one piece or remove all plastic and panels? Thanks
Only the pieces held on by rubber grommets were removed.

The wrap looks perfect! Was the Vinyl applied to the body parts while assembled?
Yes, while assembled. Only the parts that were held on by rubber grommets were removed.

Sorry for the delay in responding, been on vacation. I did not because of the cost of disassemble and reassemble.

Re: Multiple bikes ran over in Galveston

That is a common place for bikers on the weekends. In my opinion it’s a very poor choice to park directly in the line of traffic. It’s a 4 lane tourist trail down the seawall in both directions. They park right on the paved shoulder. It was bound to happen one day.

If you're happy, it was well worth it. If it looks half as good in person as in the pictures, it's great!
It turned out better than I expected, which is rare  and yes it looks as good as the picture. Thanks for commenting.

Multiple bikes ran over in Galveston

This Just happened. A girl driving down Seawall blvd in Galveston just ran over multiple bikes at a restaurant. Then she left the scene. She was chased down by someone on a moped.

Re: Trike suspension

No, nothing was done since I purchased, it’s a 2015 Trike with the Razor Motortrike kit. I brought it in Aug. 2017, it was a 2015 left over, it only has 6000 miles on it. I believe there s a anti-dive function that locks up on the front end of the Goldwing that causes this issue. I’m not a mechanic...

Very nice job, looks good! Just out of curiosity, how many $ did that set you back?
Started out at 2000.00, but then I add painting to the bottom of the trailer, vinyl paint to the dash panel, paint below the lower driving lights. So I spent 2700.00 total.

Re: Painted or Vinyl Wrapped?

I have a friend who wrapped his GL1500 and side car in yellow a couple years back, and he is still happy with it. I think you did a great job, and it looks great. I have always liked the custom possibilities of wrapping, but personally don't have the guts to do it. Any time I have attempted to wrap...

You could almost camp in a pumpkin patch and no one will know you're there. 😜

Looks really good! In a way I like that slight dull sheen of the vinyl.

Project completed. Turn out very nice. I also replaced lots of the chrome since it had been on there since 2002. What do you think? Be honest.

Re: Painted or Vinyl Wrapped?

You are correct, paint does last longer. If I were to disassemble, paint then reassemble the cost was 5k plus. However, I like color change every now and then. So I figured I could do two wraps 5 to 7 years apart, hopefully giving me 10 - 14 yrs for less money. I did question the durability of the p...

Painted or Vinyl Wrapped?

I am in the process of having my Trike and trailer vinyl wrapped. Have you ever made such a crazy decision? That’s me, I’m known to go off on the wild side. Why I make these crazy decisions I’ll never know. After tossing around the idea and the cost of each, I decided to try the wrap. Liquid copper ...
