Re: Klím Induction Jacket
I have been looking at these jackets also. What size did you get? I used the Klim "size wizard" on their website and it says I should get a 2x. Does your fit the way you expected?

Re: Fork Rebuild
Traxxion recommended the 10w oil for use with their springs. Haven't put the forks back together yet, but will overfill with fluid and then use a syringe & tube at the right height to pull out the excess fluid. Still about 3 weeks or so until we can start riding around here. Still got about 20 i...

Re: Fork Rebuild
Yes, I appreciate the design is less than ideal, so I am doing a couple of things over the winter non-riding period. Just bought the trike last summer, knew the forks needed attention. 1. New seals & bushings; just cleaned the fork tubes and sliders today................a lot of trash in there 2...

Fork Rebuild
Doing a fork rebuild on my 2005 Trike. Want to upgrade the OEM springs. Who is the best? Traxxion or Progressive springs?

Re: Fork Modification
Thanks again. I believe the monotubes are not recommended for trikes with an ez steer head. So, the traxxion springs might be the way I go with their extended caps. Interesting!

Re: Fork Modification
It is the Champion solid axle. I don't mind the extension caps being there. I just screw them off like stock caps and hopefully all the stock parts are inside? I also wonder if I can still use the Progressive Monotube kit? As you probably noticed, who ever took the caps off before [or put them on?] ...

Fork Modification
Just took the forks off my 2005 GL1800 Trike to replace leaking seals, bushings, etc and add the Progressive Monotube system. When I got them out, I realized they don't have stock caps on them! I have attached a photo of the cap on the fork. That cap adds 1 inch to the lenth of the fork tube. It was...

Fork Seals and Bushings
Getting ready to rebuild the forks on my 2005 and wondered if anyone has used this seal/busing kit from Dennis Kirk, https://www.denniskirk.com/all-balls/fork-bushings-and-seals-kit-38-6079-fs.p584586.prd/584586.sku versus the OEM parts from Honda? I have nothing against the OEM parts, but if I go t...

Oh, yes I had that argument with myself: figured the trouble would happen when I was out in the middle of nowhere............and this was before cellphones!

Re: Dropped bolt
Many years ago, owned a Kaw 1000 Z1R. Was replacing a cam chain tensioner and the bolt slipped and fell down into the crankcase. Could not fish it out to save my life. Had to remove heads, cylinder assembly so I could peer into the crankcase and finally grab it with some long tongs. My neighbors sur...

OBD Tool for GL1800 2005-2008
Has anyone tried using this OBD tool to interface the ECM to a laptop? http://www.obd2eshop.com/wholesale/obd-tool-for-fuel-injected-honda-motorcycles.html For $59 and free shipping [from China no less], I find it a tempting gamble. I'm not having any ECM problems with my 2005 trike, but as an owner...
