Re: Timing degree cam?

HI Wing Guy I will be trying this tonight. Someone suggested the accelerator pump but that is not it. It was working fine I took it this morning to work, and I can't get on the throttle at all. Without it hesitating and trying to catch up. Runs fine when cruising, but trying to get up to speed or tr...

Re: Timing degree cam?

Yes that is what is mentioned the 4-6 timing advance.
Really wish I could figure this out.
It's such a nice bike and I don't want to get rid of it. If I could just get rid of this stumble at 60mph. It'd be worth keeping

Timing degree cam?

Hey Everyone I'm having issues with my gl1100 at about 60mph. When I go to pass a semi, she goes flat, no life at all. I give it gas and she does nothing. I have to back off on the gas slightly and ease into the gas slowly to get any speed. I was talking to a couple of Wing guys and they told me tha...

Re: Geabox issue -kicks out of 5th Gear

Thanks WingAdmin
I guess. Anything is possible. I might not have it properly into 5th. Was pretty sure I was there though. But what would cause it to stumble under load ?

Geabox issue -kicks out of 5th Gear

Hi there The issue I'm having is that, when I crack the throttle in 5th gear. It will start to stumble and jerk, then kick itself down to 4th gear. Just happens when I lay on it and put high revs to it. It shudders for a second or so and either shifts into 4th, or the engine will catch up to the rev...

Re: Grinding Gears

Also how do I know for sure that it might even be the plates. I'm just speculating right nowI do not know for sure. I have adjusted the clutch lever to twice in different positions. I have not tried it on the block side but I will try that tonight. All I know that it grinds trying to find the gear. ...

Grinding Gears

Hi There The gears on my GL1100 are grinding into gear when I shift through the gears, and also on downshifting. I'm wondering what could be causing this. I have checked the cable and it is fine, and my free play is at 1/8th of a inch on the lever. But for some reason it does not shift smooth. I tho...

Starter not spining the motor over

Hello All I'm having a situation with my 1982 Goldwing GL1100. The starter starts fine when riding it every day. My problem is: When the bike sits for 3-5 days the starter will not turn the bike over. You actually have to hit then starter button enough times to bump the engine over a bit and then it...
