Re: dyna bead easy install

Re: At what point?????

I’m not afraid to put in the work. When I acquired my Suzuki in my signature, it was an empty frame and six large boxes filled with parts. I was very lucky with that bike. It needed no electrical work. I knew going into this I would have to put in some amount of work. I am mostly upset that I was mi...

Re: Gl1100 starter solenoid rat's nest

Check voltage at the post connecting the solenoid to the starter.. if 12VDC is there when the starter button is pressed, then check at the starter post. If voltage is there, then the starter is bad.

Re: At what point?????

Right now I am only $700 invested in the purchase of the bike. Add the state tax for the title transfer, and I’m in for just short of $1000. The body isn’t in the best of shape. However, I have definately seen worse. My next step is to pull the carbs, plugs, and change the oil. I want to find out of...

At what point?????

OK folks. I am beyond upset with myself at the moment. I thought I got a decent deal on a 1986 GL1200I that was only “requiring minor work”. I was able to dig into the bike a little bit today. I was initially told that the start solenoid was bad. So I pulled the left side cover off and had a look. T...

A new episode of Hoarders

Does anyone else here have a problem with collecting motorcycles? I’m starting to feel like my wife is going to call the people of Hoarders on me. I will agree that I am starting to run out of garage space. However, I believe that the perfect number of bikes (or guns for that matter) can be simplifi...

Re: What's everyone's two-wheeled History?

Forgive me with no pics..... My love of motorcycles started in the 70’s. As a kid I saw Evil Kenevil jumping his bikes over anything and everything. Plus, my uncles both had dirt bikes/dual purpose bikes. Unfortunately, my parents forbade me from ever owning a motorcycle. Jump ahead to the mid 90’s....

Re: First time posters, say hello!

Hello all!! I will try to keep this simple and short.... My name is Matt. Today I acquired my first Goldwing. It is a 1986 GL1200I Interstate. It is currently not running. However, time, patients, research, and money will fix that. I look forward to getting to know this machine and all of you. Thank...
