yup.changed oil. topped with ethanol free Premium ,put it in the winter tent with the patio swing ,and removed the new battery and put it in the snowmobile for the winter.

I have had all the GWs too;.but the 05 was the newest electrical nightmare for me. I just got the 2019 GW 1200 . looks like a 84. simple to work on like a 84. :lol:

just order a poorboy kit from Don Piggott. I have put 2 of those on. can hardly tell its there.and puts out way more than stock stator.

thanks..no no craftsman. my father taught us to weld and fix anything. I did same with my sons. now they help me due to my stroke and dementia starting. do it while u can guys,we don't grow old gracefully. nice article. I also have had issues holding up these monsters and have gone down to Silverwings. cruisers..but always end up back on a Wing. wow. that's a long ways between changes, it must be black like tar. if I go any longer than 5000 MILES ( 7500 Kms ) its black like tar.

tail lights arnt marker lights. I have a 1200 with amber reflectors on side of fairing. I like to change those to lights.these used to be available at different gold wing accessorie shops.

I don't have lights to use those bulbs in. I have the stock 1200 fairing amber reflectors .like to put lights in place of them.

chrome side covers

due to the stator issues there have,should I remove these side covers? seems like they would keep the heat in more than w/o them. I have seem them with vents stamped in them,these are solid. whats your thoughts ?

I have had every size of wing since was a dealer in 76 to 90 and used 15-40 deisal synthetic oil in every wing I had. but have gone back to a 84 1200 now and going to try some 0-40 Petro Canada Duran full Synthetic. mainly because I had a barrel ...

I don't know what kind of oil was used in the 1200 I just got, I have half a barrel of 0-40 Petro Canada Duran diesal oil here I use in my Cummins and the 2 vehicles we have. I used to use 15-40 in all my other wings? but our temp is cold half of the year and this will help it start.whats your thoug...
