Re: Brake pedal sticking

Possibly the rear master cylinder. Mine locked the pads closed, but the symptoms you describe could happen as well. Buy a rebuild kit, it's fairly easy.

MP3 player adapter

I bought a 5 pin to 3.5 mm cable from the UK and plugged it into the intercom lead (Clarion Type I),now the radio and the MP3 player play together, signal mixed. Is there a way to separate the signals? When I turn the radio volume is turned down and the MP3 player is turned up, the player sounds gre...

Not too bad, if you're mechanically inclined. Google the procedure, I had it bookmarked but deleted it...sorry.

Re: Flip up Helmets

I have a Fulmer and a Gmax, I like both of them. The Fulmer is a little smoother opening and closing the flip front and the shield systems are very similar. Both are on the lower end of the price spectrum, but like I said, I am satisfied. I've owned Bell, Arai and Nolan in the past, and I'm just as ...

Re: AIR FILTER

Don't K&N filters call for removal of some rubber gaskets when installing? This could explain the difference in height.

Re: Honda Service Dept. ....Cry-babies!

Good point, but the tire manufacturer would be a more likely target for legal action. And, tire mounting is almost pure profit for a a small shop. Eh, I see both sides of the argument.

Re: Honda Service Dept. ....Cry-babies!

A lot of shops won't mount tires you didn't buy from them. Sucks, and bad business in my opinion, but it's the truth.

Re: People run red lights

I hope you don't mind but I lifted the code for the You Tube red light runners and put it on our Web Site Safety link http://www.gwrra-waa.org/safety.html . It will hopefully make people a little more aware of what can happen at an intersection, even if they are just sitting there at the light and ...

Radiator leak

Only when cold. Leaking from the left bottom corner (somewhere), dripping from the mount. Once warmed up, leaking stops. Starting this afternoon at about 70 degrees, no leak...I've got a used radiator coming to swap out, but I guessing a small crack that self heals as the metal expands with heat...f...

Re: chrome parts restoring

Sounds like rust underneath the chrome, the color will come back eventually. You can try fine steel wool and then wax it to remove the color and delay its return.

Re: Front wheel dragging

Well, I found the answers to my problems. Since this is my first Goldwing, I wasn't sure if I had done things right, but.... The new wheel bearings were not seated all the way in. This caused a misalignment of the rotors in relation to the calipers etc. The whell doesn't spin so good like that... O...

Re: Alright...

Rechecked the timing belt and valve clearances, everything appears fine. Still have a loud (to me) ticking from the #1 cylinder area. Varies with RPM. Revs out good, noise doesn't get louder, just faster. I can't figure it out. I tried the poor boy stethoscope method (placing a socket extension to y...

Alright...

Changed timing belts, adjusted valves, replaced radiator hoses, rebuilt rear master cylinder...got rear brakes back, timing seems good, small leak from top radiator hose and loud a$$ ticking from right side. Screw it, I'm going to bed and will take another look tomorrow.

My outside temperature gauge seems to read about 20 degrees too high. Any ideas on a fix?
