rear brake rotor

It's time to start hunting for parts during the big sleep another 2-3 months to go. I need to change the rear brake rotor, should have changed it last year, but you know. I know my options are limited, ebay or ebc md1082. Don't care for ebay(long story) so I guess the ebc route is the way to go. My ...

Re: What are these wires for?

Looks like those wires are part of your cruise control(markland ?). Connect the wires together doesn't matter which wire go together( I think). Wires go to an magnetic pickup and there should be six small round magnets on the rear brake disc, I do believe they are for tracking speed and send a signa...

Re: loose rear wheel bearing

Plight has been cured. After the hub was sleeved the bearings and spacer lined up perfectly. Put everything back together (did the belts, grease splines & u joint etc etc) and went out for my first ride of the year, nice and smooth no noise no grinding. Parked the bike in the garage and did a walk a...

Re: loose rear wheel bearing

Big thanks to everyone for their help and guidance. I found a shop that will sleeve the hub for $140 + taxes (quoted). May have saved a few $ after you factor in the price of shipping on top of a used wheel.

Re: loose rear wheel bearing

I agree with twocams, #1 or #4. 0.006" is too much for a "permatex" type of fix. I hear your pain regarding parts here in Canada. Regarding machining, have you investigated the bearing you would need to have to use with an insert? Where in Canada are you? If there is a shop that trikes bikes near y...

cruise control

My stator died a few years back so I did the poorboy conversion. In order to do the conversion I had to remove the actuator for the cruise control and now I would like to put it back only there is no room for it. My question is if anyone has a markland cruise installed along side with the poorboy ki...
