Suggestions for front speakers for GL1100 Aspencade Aftermarket stereo

Ok so maybe I've been having a little bit too much fun at high volume, maybe more than simple stock factory replacement speakers can handle......Let's just say I got my $20 worth out of them, but sadly I am without tuneage.....and I am suffering withdrawal what with the cold weather riding and all a...

Re: Custom GL1500 called Hat Trick/Youtube link to finished build----Classy Cafe Style

Not my thing either, but yes it is put together quite nicely for the tastes of the individual that built it. I figured I'd share it here since that's what it's all about in this forum.

Love the the stock Gl1500 as Mother Honda created it....

Best,

My apologies. Work fatigue. if you need those shims for the calipers now you know where to find them. Good luck in your remedy.

I think this is what you are looking for.

I've lost a few myself, be very careful when you take the front calipers off as they fall right to the ground.

Re: very pleased

Glad to hear you are starting to stretch your legs with distance. Nice to hear you are bonding with your machine and friends. It's a wonderful way to decompress from the daily grind. As you spend more time in the saddle, you will see that as your bond and confidence grows with both distance and twis...

I know this isn't bike related.....but if you loved and/or love the story of 24hr lemans of how ford beat ferrari with the GT40 back in the 60's you will appreciate this movie.

Enjoy.....Never thought I'd see this story make it to the big screen.

Re: Backpack with helmet holder

Duly noted on the welding. I'm sure that I will find something at harbor freight that will tickle my fancy. Upon further research I found a backpack from Shoei that fits the bill much better for a full face helmet. The backpack would be strapped into the backseat of the wing for the ride to work, an...

Backpack with helmet holder

Was looking for a backpack that would hold a helmet, backpack needed to be sturdy and able to hold things for work like lunch, my Dezl GPS for Trucking, power cords, etc. Haven't purchased it yet. Figured I'd share my research. Can't seem to find anything else that fits in terms of quality and sturd...

What is the best Table lift for Goldwing/Gl1100 prefer pneumatic

So I've been investigating what the best lift is at the sub $1000.00, and even sub $500.00 level. The only thing I've found is the harbor freight lift, and it's hydraulic. There are videos on how to convert it to air....but how about something that is good right out of the box. This site inspires me...

Re: Best helmet on a wing with a full windshield?

I have an evoline series 3 that I got from revzilla on a closeout about 2 years ago for $175. Love the helmet. Mh434 is right, this helmet is very unique, and build quality is spot on. Features are very functional and works for all weather.....also shark now makes integral bluetooth systems called s...

Re: Just acquired a 1983 GL1100 Interstate

You will find that the the rear brake pedal will be 150% better with the lube on the pivot point. As per wingadmin, I hope you used marine grade grease, and a stainless steel cotter pin. I just did this job on my 1983 aspencade, and what a difference on my rear brake. Good for another 36 years!!!

Blown Valkyrie Demo Video....A must watch for the boost!

This modded Valk is sounding very nice, and the roll on power is intense. Nice dash layout, just a nice execution of someones vision for creating an everyday driver with street manners and the ability to be voracious animal with a small twist of the throttle.

Re: Stuck rear brake pedal

Repair complete. The hook and pick set was helpful but not in the way I thought. I couldn't hook the head of the cotter pin, must have been in there as OEM, and at 36 years old it wasn't coming out even with liquid wrench. Used the pick to bend the pin up and down mid section in the center of the pi...

Re: Stuck rear brake pedal

Well I dived into finding a set of cotter pin removal tools, primarily a hook and pick set: https://www.amazon.com/ABN-Hook-Pick-5-Piece-Set/dp/B071JVYFD2/ref=sr_1_3?keywords=hook+and+pick+for+cotter+pin+removal&qid=1552869511&s=gateway&sr=8-3 I feel this will work. I will post as to how it all work...

Re: Stuck rear brake pedal

Any recommendations on getting the cotter pin out for the brake pedal pivot......Broke the tail of the pin and it's flush with the pivot point. The head of the cotter pin is difficult to get at even with a motorcycle jack with straps. Tried needle nose vise grips couldn't get a grip on the head of t...
