Re: My First Ride of 2015

That black windshield garnish along with the rest looks really nice. Wow. I'm liking. Thanks. It is a 'bra' like people used to put on the front of their cars many moons ago. It covers the window garnish as well as the front of the mirrors. I'll try to get a few better pics of it and upload tonight...

Welcome and thanks for your service in the military. I may not be from the USA but I can appreciate the sacrifices you had to make to be able to serve your country. The 1500 wing is a fantastic bike, you will really enjoy her.

Re: My First Ride of 2015

The good weather did not last long. We got a dump of snow two days ago (nothing like out east thankfully) and we are looking at some more snow later today. Welcome to Calgary, the place where if you don't like the weather you just need to wait 10min because it will change. We should be back into mor...

Re: GL1500 shift shaft stabilizer mod. No drilling.

Peppi. I finally got a chance to try out the shift brace I bought earlier this winter and I must say everything I have read about this is true. Shift is much crisper, almost no effort to find the lower gears and in particular Neutral. A fantastic upgrade. Every 1500 needs this. Thanks for all you ef...

My First Ride of 2015

It's March 14, 2015 and normally Calgary is under a blanket of snow, but this year we have been experiencing an exceptionally warm winter. The roads are clean and there is hardly any snow to be found. I have to head out of town for a few errands so I could not pass up this opportunity to go for a ri...

I do not camp so I am no authority but, the easiest and quickest tent trailer I have ever seen to set up was the Lees-ure Lite Outstanding, these guys are in Alberta. If I was in the market for a small tent trailer I would DEFINITELY make a trip to visit these guys ...

Re: SafeTkick Motorcycle Kickstand Pad Support

I think I'll be stopping a Canadian Tire on the way home. Thanks for the info on your method. I've used this system for a few years now. It's a telescopic retrieval magnet that's the same size as a BIC ballpoint pen, retracted, and extends to 26", and lifts up to 24 oz. The electrical box cover weig...

Re: 2015 Goldwing (40th Anniversary) disappointment

Try looking at the Polaris Slingshot. For the same money, you can get a loaded one and they look like they're really fun to drive too.... and a lot more comfortable. http://www.polaris.com/en-us/slingshot?gclid=CjwKEAiAjsunBRCy3LSlz_PJqCgSJACJY7yKCTd92eIA8TBexPuZkcHGApG4ba4uB0W3OpfcEXxGABoCmhnw_wcB...

I have a HJC IS-17 helmet & trying to find a VERY dark smoked face shield for it. I had one for a Altura Vega helmet ( I will attach a pic). I just forget where I got it. So, if anybody has any idea where I can get a face shield for my IS-17 that's almost as dark like a limo window, PLEASE let me k...

Re: Licensing of Riders

That's true - but due to their distraction, they are usually travelling much slower than the flow of traffic. I'll give them a wide berth, get past them, and get some distance between me and them. Down here in Ohio, you get a ticket for texting while driving. It hasn't stopped (or even curtailed) i...

Re: Licensing of Riders

I am of the opinion that all drivers/riders should be required to take a road test and/or driver training course in order to renew their license. Everyone starts out with the best intentions to be the best driver around and eventually, slowly, bad habits set in, but they still think they are the bes...

Re: 1998 GL1500 Headlight upgrade. ANGEL EYES HIDs!

Fantastic looking! One last question - where did you get your "clear glass" headlight fixture? I have the OEM that came on the bike in 1990 - I've included a pic that I found online that matches what mine looks like. I've never looked into replacing the glass fixture prior to now, so I have no data...

I don't know about a 1000, but that is definitely a 1100 seat. It looks identical to the 82 and 83 I previously had.

121500km. I got it last October and rode it as long as I could. I think I put 4000+ on before parking it for the season.

If your looking to just connect, power and listen to music from your mp3/ipod device I would suggest the iSimple 32 http://www.isimplesolutions.com/tranzit-usb.html . Re: How to install the GL1500 shifter brace

I accidentally ruined this rubber part while installing my shifter brace. It was in rough shape to begin with and it ripped when trying to reinstall it . I didn't think much of it and decided I could ride without it for a while. That was when I noticed WHY Honda designed it on there in the first pl...

Schampa Neckgaiter

Well first off I want to thank WingAdmin for having the monthly contest and sending me out the Schampa Neckgaiter I won for October. I started riding late and have only been riding for 8 years. In that time I have owned 4 bikes: 1. 1982 GL1100 Interstate - First Bike. I found this reallly big to learn on so I bought my next bike, 2. 1999 Suzuki SV650S - Great little bike. Sounded awesome and went like crazy. Had I been young this...
